That was a lot of double plays and runners out on the base paths.

Darky

Insane...most double plays and runners out on the paths in the history of ever.

Can't teach speed.

What a display of offense in the Cunts-OC game.  OC really has a good lineup.

No, not really.  Just a fairly normal day with the blue ribbons.

AlecTrevylan006

Well, the scary part was that the Ribbons fell what, 2 runs short of a mercy win?

Great game.  Almost fought our way back.

Huge game on our side by Joyner.  Despite having a HR and a triple apiece, Davis and Straw weren't able to come through in some very key situations.  Also, we couldn't pinch hit for the pitcher in the bottom of the 9th, which was huge.

TβG

man, you guys kept rallying.  i think it's rare for our team to bunch so many runs together in one inning this season.  but we needed it.
Quote from: Nacho on 03/15/16, 10:17:08 AMWe've had babe drafts. We've had a sandwich draft. We can have our babes and eat sandwiches, too.

Chocolate Rain pull away from Artichokes

FORT DODGE (AP) - Down 10-3 in the top of the 6th, C.Lemon hit a 3 run shot which woke up the offense and Chocolate Rain took the lead for good in the 8th inning as they pulled away for a crucial 21-17 victory.

Doc Gooden pitched 4 strong innings in holding the Rain to 3 runs on 8 hits, but Scott fell victim to a Chocolate Rain furry of six HR's in his 3 innings of long relief work and picked up the loss after blowing a 10-3 lead.

C.Lemon hit 2 HR's to up his league leading total to 22 while going 5-6 at the plate with 6 RBI's. It was his 3 run shot in the 6th inning and his 2 run shot in the 8th that seemed to inspire the Chocolate Rain.

Bruno had 2 HR's in a losing effort and now is second in the league with 21.

With the victory, the Chocolate Rain now move into 3rd place with the Fighting Artichokes and hold the advantage with the head-to-head tiebreaker should they finish the year with the same record.

Records - Chocolate Rain (8-9, 5-6), Fighting Artichokes (8-9, 3-8)

Awesome BadAsses outscore Blue Ribbons 14-0 in final 4 innings to snap three game skid

R.Jones' 6th inning  2 out grand slam turned the game around in a heartbeat. The BadAsses down 9-2 in the top of the sixth, erupted for 9 runs to take a 11-9 lead as they never looked back and easily beat the Blue Ribbons 16-9.
The BadAsses outscored the Blue Ribbons 14-0 in the final four innings.

R.Jones drove in 4 runners and addes 3 doubles with his grand slam. Mcwir also led the offense by going 4-6 at the plate with a pair of mammoth shots with 4 RBI's.

Tudor and Viola had good outings as they only gave up a combined 7 ER in 9 innings.

The Pabst Blue Ribbons continue to find ways to lose in their heartbreaking loss. The Blue Ribbons killed themselves by hitting into and running into 5 double plays. A season record.
Ojeda's sharpest outing of the year went to waste and he had no comments to the press after the game.

The Awesome BadAsses technically remain in second place in the Gantry League due to winning the season series over the OC and will go for the season sweep in a return match with the Blue Ribbons in week 18.

Records - Awesome BadAsses (9-8, 7-3), Pabst Blue Ribbons (4-13, 3-8)

Galactic Empire complete sweep over Rebel Alliance

MADISON (AP) - The Rebel Alliance are still waiting for their "new hope" to emerge as the Jedi are on the brink of being nearly exterminated by the order of the Sith Lord Darth Sidious in losing 16-8 and were swept by the Galactic Empire.

JaMorris pitched 5 sharp innings and only allowed 2 runs on 8 hits.
JRice led the Empire offense by going 4-6 with a HR and 4 RBI. Gibson also chipped in with the Empire assault with a solo shot, 4 hits and 3 RBI.

OSmith went 4-6 with a 2B and a 3B as he was inserted in the lineup just before the game. "He did only what we ask and expect him to do " stated Darkside.
OSmith and MBarret will be platooning said the Darkside to the swarming media.

The Empire remain 2 games ahead of the suddenly hot Unholy Legions, but technically 3 games since the Empire has already won the season series. The two teams will meet in the season finale.

Records - Galactic Empire (12-5, 8-2), Rebel Alliance (6-11, 4-6)
