Crazy game. Game 7 was the best game of the series...EPIC

We pulled it out in extra innings...the Force was with us. R.Knights hustle in the 10th was Empire ball in a nutshell. Ripken making the last out was fitting.

Galactic Empire = FRBI V World Series Champions

Awesome way to cap off a great season for the league.

You guys had a great team MikeD/Nacho. Somebody had to win it. Could have went either way.

The difference in this series was Temple of the Dog...Hunger Strike blasting during pre-game in games 6 and 7.

Congrats Nomaaa.  Dee-Nee's new Sandwich King.

Darky

nomaaa is officially banned from next season.

This type of derogatory behavior will not be tolerated in my league. I've gone over this I don't know how many times about the authenticity of the games. This is nomaaa's second derogatory comment in this thread. One too many.

Show some sportsmanship and respect for the hard work that it takes to run a league. I've put in a lot of hours to run this league to the liking of everyone. I fuckin went youtube and out of my way to clear any doubts. I really did my best to put a championship team on the field fair and square. I don't like team owners shitting on the league. The decision is final. Nomaaa is eligible for re-enstatement for season VII.

Boxscores coming shortly as soon as I sober up...

I'll consider it since you would be in the DoveRBI league. Fierce rivalries are good for the league. But the Poopydicks are number one on our list to replace nomaaa. Maybe you can team up with somebody Attez. To be honest with you, I dig your RBI instincts and you did put together a great team. You're a pitching philosophy type dude, and I respect that. However,  that does not vindicate you of the shit you pulled this season. I'll consider it only because of the hated rivalry between us...which is good for the league.

Galactic Empire win FRBI V World Series in extra inning thriller

BOSTON (AP) - Game seven of the World Series turned out to be one for the ages.

The Empire took a 17-7 lead into the bottom of the sixth hoping to end the series via mercy rule, but the Sally Cunts fought back and scored 4 runs in the bottom half of the inning to trim the lead 17-11. From there they would cut into the lead and eventually tie the ball game up 17-17 in the bottom of the 8th.  Sabrhgn, D.Smith, and Corbet masterfully held the Empire scoreless from the 7th inning until the 9th inning while giving the Cunts an opportunity to make their move offensively.

With Hatcher and Corbet on first and second base with two outs in the bottom of the 9th inning, C.Schrld made a great pitch to get W.Joyner to ground out to D.Mtngly and send game 7 into extra-innings.

In the top of the 10th, A.Trmml hit a 2 run triple to break the tie and the Empire would add two more runs to take a 21-17 lead going into the last half of the 10th inning.
E.Davis doubled, Stwby flied out, Madlck doubled and Mitchl homered suddenly making it 21-20.
C.Shrld reached deep down for something extra and succeeded as he got Laudnr and C.Ripken to line out and earn the win making the Galactic Empire the champions of the FRBI V World Series. C.Shrld was named MVP of the series for his brilliant effort in the 9th and 10th inning of the epic game seven.

The top of the line-up, Trmml, J.Rice, and D.Mtngly, combined to go for 14-21, 11 RBI's and 9 runs to lead the way offensively. Ray Knight provided great production from the 7-hole with 4 hits, a double, and a home run.

Offensively for the Cunts, B.Mdlck went 6-6 with a homer and drove in 6 runners while E.Davis had 4 hits including three doubles and D.Stwby had a nice day at the plate with 5 hits and 2 doubles. T.Laudnr had an impressive day at the plate as he went 5-7 with a homerun and a double.

The difference turned out to be the 10th inning. "It came down to the 10th inning, and all we had to do was win the inning...and we did with heads up Empire ball" said manager Darkside. R.Knight's hustle to second base and avoiding the force out seemed to really inspire the Empire during a fierce battle of will power's. C.Shrld did just enough to hold off a characteristic Sally Cunt comeback. He was named MVP for doing so.

Galactic Empire wins the series 4-3

Yes, otherwise your mangina wouldn't be flaring up so much. I won it fair and square and the proof is there idiot...Did not have to cheat and never cheated. I had a superior team dumbass...and I know a thing or two about RBI and baseball.

Your just pissed because I won the whole damn thing and you can't stand it. You can't find a shred of evidence that I cheated because it never happened and it's not there. Youtube and source files...it's there dumbass. So you're  doing your best to shit on my victory parade. LMFAO

BDawk

Please tell me that pic is photoshopped.  I can't believe Al Davis would ever shake hands with a dude dressed up like Darth Vader, right?

Darky

I think it's real BDawk. That Darth Vader dude has been going to Raider games for years.

Anyways, it was a great series despite only two one-run games. Both teams showed their strengths and superiority. I was pretty unsure if we would win because of the Cunts speed and power and good pitching...also their innate ability to comeback time after time.

The Cunts speed on offense extended a lot of innings and avoided a lot of tag outs on the basepaths...which means x amount of more chances to hit. It's all a numbers game over the long run. Their power and speed parameters were a great formula. Well designed team. Trust me, I've watched a lot of games and noticed some trends.

Power is still very important, but it's not everything. Power alone won't do it. GDavis' team last year did win it though, and he had a pure power team with not much speed. Power teams are really streaky. I think nomaaa's team was a good example of that and Beef's team went cold in the playoffs. Beef's team had great power, but the contact-power-speed ratio was not that balanced, and it showed when a good pitching team like the Artichokes swept them. I was surprised that TBG's team did not get to the playoffs, but he was in a tough division.
Ultimate's team was weird, and really good. Very streaky.

I tried to go for a good contact to power to speed ratio package (have my own formula), I am not a big fan of a T. Armas type player. I can't stand slow players....

I believe good pitching helps win. And how I gaged that was using the stats from the previous years. Total home runs given up, home runs per inning, and hits per inning as well as ERA are important RBI numbers in pitching. I think the HR's given up per inning is what I liked best, and that is why I liked Morris and Cox so much. I took Orosco and Shrld based on their hits per inning numbers. There was not that much data really to get a clear read, but now with a 22 game season full of stats, the picture is a little more clear.

The strength with my team on offense was the overall contact, and it showed up in the stats in doubles and average. After Gibson, there was not much power, but the contact was there with decent enough power to produce. Barret was a good contact hitter with speed, but lacked power. But he produced and did hit a few triples.

Anyways, it will be interesting to see how the draft works out next season.

This defies the programers' opinion on what contact rating does... although i still can't help but agree.  my guess is that there are certain groups of guys that have the right mix of contact and power that makes them good hitters.  I don't think it's just a function of a low contact #.

You're right TBG...my bad and great point by you. What power is going with that contact is huge indeed. Speed is part of the equation also. Speed prolongs rallies and gets that extra base say on a single or double that scores a speedy dude from first (130+ speed). The contact and power ratio should have it's own rating. I'm sure you do and I do as well. Though players with crazy power and shitty contact will always hit, but there are only a handful of those players.
