Meh, stadiums don't interest me, but I get how It does for some.

FreedomRock

Will there be an editor available for this ROM?

Just curious, as I noticed a few adjustments I wanted to make to player ratings.

Turd

Blasphemy! The ratings are rock solid!!!

J/K.  There is not a public editor available...if you have some changes, post them here and I'll be glad to entertain them.  Just be sure to rationalize your changes...

I plan on finalizing everything this week.  I'm almost done with the pitchers (got about 10 teams to go, I think) and then I am going to finalize any roster moves and lineup changes and call it a final release.

FreedomRock

Here are my top changes for 2010:

1. Even though I can't stand Boston (Rays fan), I noticed that Daniel Bard's top fastball speed was 86 MPH. He actually throws about 100 and has been clocked as high as 102.

2. Cameron Maybin's speed is at 123. Maybin is historically a really good base stealer, can steal 20+ bases in a full year.

3. Delmon Young's speed at 123: see Maybin, though Young is a bit slower.

I thought of other more negligible stuff, but I'll let it slide.

Very good job on the Rays' ratings, and just about every other team.

Turd

Completely agreed on Bard's FB, I have a feeling that was supposed to be 96...I'll look at the rest of your suggestions...thanks for the feedback brother.

Turd

P.S. Post the negligible stuff, I'm anal, and I want it as perfect as I can.

Cubs,

Derrick Lee is too slow at 123.  Sam Fuld is fast (he's a pinch runner, lots of steals in the minors), if he stays on the bench his speed should be about 140.  But really their 2010 bench should have Xavier Nady and Marlon Byrd

The Raiders are a successful organization

Turd

Thanks, I'm noting all these and will be making appropriate changes later...

Turd

7 teams left and I'm done with the final updates.  Almost there, folks...wow, I can't even fathom how many hours I put into this fucking project.  Tons of lunch hours and late nights...thankfully my daughter sleeps very well, or I'd never get this thing done.

Thanks for all the suggestions and whatnot, it's really helped me get it right.  After staring at stats and player info, it's very easy to go shithouse rat and lose your focus, and you guys have polished a lot of the edges for me.  This ROM is gonna be great...

FreedomRock

Thank you for all the time and effort.

Here's a bit more from me:

1. They're only five points apart now, but I think Carl Crawford is slightly more powerful than Jason Bartlett.

2. Troy Glaus (Braves) should probably have more power. He hit 27 home runs in 2008 before a shoulder injury shut him down last year.

3. A couple of Braves (Cabrera, Hinske) could be a bit faster. Gregor Blanco is faster than 122.

4. Josh Hamilton is a bit underrated across the board (more in power than anything else).

5. Alfonso Soriano isn't as fast as he once was, but a small increase from 126 can help him.

OK, enough nitpicking for one day. Nice job so far.

Turd

Alright, there were some issues I missed for sure. I really tried to adjust for AB and whatnot, but some guys I missed. Glaus was one of them...I took most of your suggestions into consideration...

I'm gonna let this ride for one more week, get some play-testing in, and next weekend I'll assess if I want to release it as a Final.

After it's final, I'm not making anymore changes...I need it to be unchanged after release so it works for the RPC...

Thanks for all the suggestions...I did make a few changes to uniforms. Lord, that's a tedious process with 30 teams and two colors per team with a bunch of the teams having gray unis with blue hats...I think I'm pretty happy with what I got left (save for a few I had to compromise on).

Heya Turd. I've been playing the ROM a bit more and I think the White Sox lineup needs a tweak. Teahen is hitting 3rd and I'm pretty sure it should be

1)Pierre
2)Teahen/Beckham
3)Quentin
4)Konerko
5)Rios
6)Ramirez
7)Teahen/Beckham
8)Homosexual Catcher

Or actually this lineup is so solid with bangers I think most 3,4,5 combos will work with Konerko, Rios, Quentin in any order. Just teahen isn't a 3 hole guy.

I'll keep testing the teams and see if theres anything else I notice that seems a little out of place.

The stats seem real solid on everybody so far.

kahouty

Oh also the A's bench still has Miles in there when he was traded for Rosales. Heres makin the case for my boy on the bench instead. Lookin healthy so far.  ;D

Eric Chavez pounds 2 homers in A's loss

Turd

Noted, I'll address it as soon as I can. Thanks!  Your testing will help solidify this stuff, as at the very minimum, I don't want misplaced players on the final version.

Turd

I updated the lineup, and I added Chavez, as I do feel he's a good replacement for Miles.  I rated him based on a hybrid of his career averages and whatnot.  I did tax him on a bit of his attributes based on uncertainty, although with the 64 power bonus for bench players, he should do ok.

kahouty

Cool man lookin good. I'll keep playing when I get a free minute here and there and see if theres any other teams that are a bit weird. One thing to note is Joe Nathan is injured and won't be pitching this year because of the torn elbow something or other. Dunno if you want to replace him on the Twins roster or not.

Turd

BeefMaster

If you drop Nathan, the Twins' two best relievers are probably Guerrier (R) and Mijares (L), although I'm guessing Rauch (R) will get the closer spot, at least at first.

Turd

Thanks beef. Since you mention, what do you think about the twins uni (or any other team)? I am tweaking and I want them to accurat as possible with two colors per team and 30 teams co
peting for colors.

kahouty

Hey Turd, lookin at the Unis and the Giants are black/grey. Seems the creme color for the base uniform would work pretty well with the black hats and give a more legit feel. Most teams home unis are white, but the Giants and one of a few teams that uses that off white creme-color. Heh....he said creme.

Anyway, see how the present padres color with the black hat looks. Might work, might not I'd have to see it.
