Quite possibly the least used sub in RBI.

Drove an hour last weekend to play 33 games with my brother and going back again this Sunday for just a day to play more.  I think I have a problem.  Do they have RBI addict meetings???  My wife thinks I'm crazy.

surprisingly, i have davidson ranked outside the bottom five overall (he's like 113-114 for watchgames). That bottom five list happens to include all starters, even two leadoff men.

Just finished with St. Louis. It's FUCKING hard to hit a homer with Ozzie Smith, I must've been swinging wrong..... The STL bats clash with the dirt around home plate too so it's harder to see, that's why I love using Detroit.....all black.

My list is up to 7 guys who I never homered with this time around:

Barrett
Davidson
Santana
Backman
Mazzilli
Oquendo
O. Smith

Seemed like everything Ozzie or Mazzilli hit, immediately dropped to the ground, even popups & fly balls. Maybe it's the double-Z factor......

Oh yeah, I won two games using Houston, scoring 22 runs each time (no shutouts though).

LOL oh yeah, Tommy "The Terrible" Herr got me a homer in his very first AB, vs. California, went about 1/2 way up in the crowd in the RF seats.  Jack Clark got me one just right after, guess he didn't wanna get shown up by a guy who almost completely sucks.....

I love this game.

Haven't played a real game since the Tribune article.  I'm sure that'll change once the "semi-regular" chicago games start.

The Raiders are a successful organization

We'll get those games going, it will have to be after March and the NCAAs.  Starting spring though, I'm ready so bump this thread to remind me

Well I finished my seasons, I had 9 guys who didn't homer, but I'm playing full seasons again for the teams/players who didn't, so I finally hit homers with Barrett, Davidson, and Mazzilli so far.

6 guys to go:

Santana, Backman, OSmith, Oquendo, Galarraga, Pedrique.

Nope I didn't hit one with Andres "The Giant" Galarraga.  It says he's a pretty good player on the team bios page, I think he and Mike Schmidt are mixed up, no way is Schmidt the worst on the team!!!!!

Jose Uribe got me a homer in his final AB, score was 20-10 vs. the NL All-Stars in the top of the 9th, he made it 22-10, I won 22-11.

I found interesting RBI stats the other day when I was looking through my old RBI papers & stuff.  I won a game by 38-1 over St. Louis (their only run was a homer), using the American All-Stars and I scored 35 runs in the 3rd inning!  I have the other stats, I just don't have the paper with me, I was like whoa, did I really do that.... heh heh.

I'm serious, it must be true if it's all written down.....

Wasn't it The Big Cat?

whatever, it sure wasn't Andre the Giant.

Dude, Metal King...Mazzilli hit a pinch hit slam off Bert Blyleven a while back when I used him.

Mazzilli is so clutch. I'd go as far as to say he's top 5 RBI Bench material. He's no Rob Wilfong or Ruppert Jones, but Maz is the Man.

Metal King

Yeah I know he's the "Big Cat," I'm just thinking up other possible nicknames.

Actually he does suck, I was wrong, but I still don't think it's correct to say Mike Schmidt is "easily the worst player on this stellar team."

I love the player bios though, I"m always reading them.

I hit one to dead-center field with Mazz my last "season." right into the scoreboard.  He never got close to a homerun for me before that.

Too bad there are no active RBIers left on this game. On RBI 2 & 3 there still are a few.

Metal King

I'm in like my 5th full season using New York and National.  Still need a homer from Santana and Pedrique, that's it.

It's still fun smashing homers though, that'll never get boring.

My best game using NY in a recent season was against Boston. I started McDowell and he went 10 innings and I beat the Sox 18-15 IN 10 innings.
