OK I finished up the Phillies bench and tweaked the #s put in.  So all the rosters are done, but will need tweaking.  I see a lot of people did the suggested power, which I felt was a little low compared to the original teams.  So I typically gave everyone a little power boost and if they were low on ABs I boosted power and speed even more drastically. 

An example was Darren Daulton for the Phils - he only had 8 homers but that's in 138 ABs.  So I gave him an 820 power to compensate for the high HR ratio, suggested power was 758 which is WAY too low.  If you don't adjust based on ABs a lot of benches (especially in the NL) are going to be worthless.  My two cents, but tweaking is easier than getting the shit in.

So I added the Pitchers for

Baltimore(and stats excepting CPUL and CPUR)
ChiSox(stats forthcoming)
Montreal(stats forthcoming)
San Diego(stats forthcoming)


and I added the Seattle closer who was missing...I saw strassy was working on that staff, so I didn't touch his abilities just added name and ERA, Nunez 3.80 RO

Like Dimaggio, Ruth, Gherig on the same team! Ted Williams.  YESSSS! Yogi Berra or Pudge catching...obv we would have to collaborate on which players make the cut or whatever.

Or maybe a HOF AL/NL...to be on the team, minimum req is Hall of Fame induction.

I wasn't sure what we should do with the remaining teams.  To keep it simple, we could actually just remove them, it wouldn't be that difficult to do.

As for fixing the lefty issue, I'd say go ahead...part of me thinks the charm of bugs that were in the classic game makes it just that, classic (e.g., Randal Cunningham showing up as a white dude on some TDs).  But, we are trying to make an enhanced version of the classic game, and as long as we don't change too much, it should be ok, especially on the AL/NL teams that noone uses.

Alright, looks like we have all the pitchers names in place.  I'm gonna setup a spreadsheet with the stats for all the players listed and then we can sort and play with the numbers using that...perhaps this will help us rate a little better.

Gantry, or anyone else who's opting out of pitcher rating, it could be a while, would you mind perusing the rosters and doing some tweaking?  Adjust for ABs, up the power on the suggested power, etc...

Kahouty, thanks for doing the pitchers...one thing though, looks like Tengen didn't always include one closer as part of the bullpen, so we might want to look over those pitcher rosters and take their best 2 RP guys...

I'm busy compiling up all the pitchers from t he teams we've chosen...maybe that will help decide...

Yeah I did pick the best pitchers mostly, excepting maybe a couple closers.

Off the top of my head I can think of Gossage and Nunez from Seattle being closers that suck. I'll have a second look and see if theres a better option for those teams.

I uploaded a spreadsheet in the top post with all the pitcher stats from the appropriate teams...this should allow for easy sorting and whatnot.  I've also included some calculated columns (shown with a maroon header) which are basically the percentage of maximum to give you a nice overview of a few important categories.  I'm going to start rating these bad boys now...

Got a little free time this evening to do some pitcher rating.  9 more teams of pitchers to go before we can call this thing a beta release 1...Kahouty, thanks for your work on the pitchers...the ones you did rate seemed pretty accurate.  I did do some googling for each player and only updated to reflect things I found in that...most of it was good...

Alrighty, looks like everyone is rated...I think now it's time to download the ROM, play it out, scan over the rosters, etc and start making tweaks as we see fit.

Anyone wanna test it out man vs. man online, let me know...in the meantime, I'll be working on getting the rest of the ROM correct (the team select icons and the scoreboard icons and whatnot).
