I think I'm addicted to adding the word "official" to threads. I. just. Can't. Stop.  Anyways, a discussion in another thread prompted someone's request that one of us start an official Dee-Nee fest thread for the southern WI region.  So, I am starting that thread.  Since I've never been to one, and I'm a procrastinator (unless it involves something cool on my computer, like RBI or something), I may not be the best person to plan it, but I'll assist in any way, and be active in the discussion...

So, the usuals, where, when, what, who...

Myself and Bastardo are 15 min away from each other (and we work so close to each other I could pee on his building from my desk chair).  There's also Re-Poop, Brookens...who else would be interested? Discuss.

Bastardo has access to projector, two games, and two top-loaders...

Like I said in the other thread, I have access to a pair of top loaders, and a projector to play some giant games of RBI on...

There are a handful of players I know in the area that if timing works out they would be up to getting wasted and playing RBI in a semi-orginized fashion.
This has been changed recently to a statement about it being changed.

Gantry

I'd definitely make it up to Milwaukee, Re-Peat PM'ed me about a potential Madison fest as well.

Turd

I'd prefer it be here in Milwaukee, of course, plus it's a little closer to the Chi-town boys, but Madison is awesome as well.

Gantry

I prefer Milwaukee as well cause I'm lazy, sorry Re-Peat!

How about the weekend after Easter? April 10th and 11th?

I'm just throwing that out there, I haven't really cleared it on my schedule (ie - asked the wife if anything is going on that weekend, for her to say no and get excited that I might be interested in doing something with her, then disappointing her by telling her I am going to get drunk with my internet friends).

I have a good connection at AMF Bowlero (for out of towners it's right of the freeway), could get use of one of the rooms there for free, however I don't know what the carry-in policy would be and I don't know the room scheduling for those days.

It would be a good place for it because it's already a nasty place, if we got stupid drunk it wouldn't be the first time that place has experienced it.

Turd

Bastardo, I'm tentatively fine with everything you said. I just have to clear it with my wife as well...

Re-Peat

I like Milwaukee, and I'm not at all opposed to doing it there.  The main (and really only) advantage to Madison is that I'm a single homeowner so we'd have a free venue to play RBI and get trashed all night with upsetting a wife or causing the hotel manager to yell at Baines again.

Count me in for anything in Milwaukee/Madison/Chicago.

anyone ever notice that if you drop a deuce on someones windshield in sub-freezing temperatures, its pretty damn hard to get off once it freezes.

Guido13

The single home-ownership situation definately needs to be considered...

It would be very hard to get in trouble at this bowling alley, it would take alot... The down side is the carry-in policy, we could probably get away with bringing some stuff to make mixed drinks with but would have to buy our beer from the bar.

Reasonable priced by but still.

Gantry

I got no qualms with buying brews from the bar, especially if a free room is involved.

Turd

I am open to anything...just wanna have a good time...

Stock

I would love to come, but there is no way I can make it that soon.
It would have to be August or later since I have a ton of business travel planned thru the summer, not to mention bachelor parties, weddings, and friends visiting.  All means, very difficult to rationalize buying a plane ticket and leaving for the weekend to play video games with internet friends.

I said it once and I'll say it again - stock is smart

Brookensrules!

I nominated Re-Peat's place (without asking him) I know it's very rude of me and I wouldn't normally do something like that but I am like Gantry and lazy and have a family that I really wouldn't be able to justify leaving town to play RBI unfortunately.  I could probably swing a Saturday sometime if it was on the other side of town.  Plus, no offense to the milwaukee crew, ok offense.  Who the hell wants to drive to Milwaukee.  I really don't like driving to milwaukee.  The interstate is bumpy as shit and then you have to actually go to Milwaukee.  After typing this, I realize now that I probably won't be attending-I get a vote at least right?  From the above posts though it sounds like I'm in the minority.  I have a non-top load nintendo and one RBI game with two controllers.

Guido13

Do you realize that those of us in Milwaukee would have to use the same bumpy roads that you feel are too bumpy to travel to Madison? Are you saying us risking our lives on the bumpy roads of Milwaukee to Madison any different then you risking your life on the bumpy roads from Madison to Milwaukee?

So I ask you this, despite loving Madison, who would want to travel on such bumpy roads to get there?

As far as the date I through out there, I'm not even sure it's possible for me yet, still have to clear it but the reason I through a quick date out is because if we push it to August these types of things fizzle out in the planning process. Although August is probably pretty open for me.

The date I threw out there is two weeks before I'm scheduled to run a marathon... I think I'll be in the mood to get hammer timed.

You make some valid points.  I may be the biggest dee nee fest tease in this case.  Maybe your shocks are better than mine?

Re-Peat

I don't know what you hosers are complaining about.  I drive to Milwaukee all the time without any problems.

Other than all the cops on 94...  but that's to be expected.

No, he'll be in Burlington, Wi. I talked to the wife tonight, we just have to find out when the baptism is and then I'll know.

I'm very excited for a sausage, ahem, Dee-née fest. (my iPhone automatically adds the accent mark to Dee-née. Awesome).

Guido13

Maybe Doyle will have the piece of shit speed train rammed down our throats before April, bumpy roads no more...

Date looks fine for me however it appears there was a shooting over the weekend in the parking lot of the proposed location, dee-nee!
