Gantry, can you talk to McLane about the lineup? Just try and get it in by tomorrow please.

Turd, I need your lineup as well.

The schedule is almost done here. Opening day in on Wednesday.

Turd

I've not been able to get in at work today, so I'll PM it to you tonight.  I take it we can change the lineup on a weekly basis?

Yep, you can change the lineup as much as you wish.

And Gantry, get your bench in....

Cunts drink from the nectar of PBR, winning 8-6 in a classic pitchers duel.  Cunts scored 5 in the 1st and 3 in the 7th.

We seem to have a pretty good record in pre-season action thus far.

I juggled my lineup and put in Sheridan in the 2 hole. He hit over .500 there last year with 11 jacks and he has good speed. He seems to hit better in the 2 hole than the 6 hole.

I also moved Straw to the 3 hole, Donnie baseball to the 4 hole, then Gaetti to the 5 hole----putting Madlock in the 6 hole and Heat in the 7 hole. Doran is a huge surprise. He's been doing really well in scrimmages---he's going to have a few triples and maybe 5-6 jacks this year and his speed will take those extra bases. I'm really excited about my 8 hole and Sheridan in the 2 hole. My lineup really functions a lot better in that order and we have been scoring more runs now. The Empire HAS THE LOOK!!!111

Also, Sutclf is a better pitcher when he starts and struggles a bit in relief. Nando seems to do better in relief.

The bullpen is solid. The Empire's confidence is riding high right now and we are ready to host the Alliance for week 1.

We just stuck it to Gooden...

South San Jose (hometown) product Dave Righetti pitched a scoreless 8th and 9th!

Hammocks can hit some bombs. You should be in good shape Turd since you have Dawson. In the last three seasons, Dawson has been on a playoff team.

Yeah, I'd say we're doing well.  We might need to shake up the bottom of the lineup, put someone with some more pop down there.  We're an extremely top-heavy team, almost keeley hazell like.

Well, most teams are top heavy.  I had Kruk in Fantasy season IV and he was among the league leaders in batting avg.  Molitor was Darky's leadoff man last year.  And I don't even remember who else is down there.  But I think we'll be fine.

We just got smoked by the Fighting Urlachers- 11-1.  Gooden was lights out, gave up 1 run in the first and then nothing else for 7 innings.  Only managed 5 hits.  The Urlachers look like the team to beat.  1-8 just a great lineup.

Trammel was my lead off hitter. Molitor was not on my team.

ryno

I had the shittiest team ever last year.

Bob Brenly is hitting clean up for me now, so things appear to have gotten worse.

Re-Peat

Molitor lead off for me last year.

My rookie season was kind of rough.  There is a huge difference in numbers and performance as well as human controlled performance and computer controlled performance.  I really expected good things out of some key guys (Hrbeck, Maldonado, Whittaker, Clemens) and none of them performed as well as I had hoped.

I've taken those lessons and put them to use this year though, and I fully expect the alliance to contend.

anyone ever notice that if you drop a deuce on someones windshield in sub-freezing temperatures, its pretty damn hard to get off once it freezes.

Darky

Ran a practice game of this week one match up. Ryno's speed at the bottom of the order led to a walk off 3 run blast by Lemon. Sutton hit a grounder to the SS and Franco slid in safe to second base...setting up Lemon.
