Empire overcome 9-3 seventh inning deficit for victory, win in their final at-bat for the third time this year

Imperial Center (AP) - In a rematch of last year's LCS, the Fighting Artichokes appeared to be on their way to snapping a 4-game losing streak as they took a 9-3 commanding lead going into the bottom half of the seventh inning. With their backs to the wall, the defending FRBI champions woke up and came back to win 10-9 as M.Heath singled in G.Gaetti to end the game in the bottom of the ninth.

The two teams did not muster much offense all day as both team's pitchers limited the hitters. However, the Galactic Empire found their groove in the seventh and outscored the Artichokes 7-2 in the final three innings.
D.Rghetti and D.Robnsn allowed no runs out of the bullpen in keeping the Empire close.

In the bottom of the ninth, G.Gaetti drilled a seed that pitcher T.Henke BOP'd. B.Madlck lined his 4th double of the afternoon which put runners on second and third with nobody out. With the fans on their feet and roaring thunderous Force chants, M.Heath drilled a single and G.Gaetti jubilantly crossed home plate to end the Dove RBI divisional contest.

The win allowed the Galactic Empire to remain in first place with the Alliance and have been in first place for 27/28 weeks now. The Fighting Artichokes lost their 5 straight after opening the season with a victory.

The Galactic Empire are now 4-0 at home.

Fighting Artichokes 1-5, (1-4)
Galactic Empire 4-2, (3-1)

it should be noted that 2 of the Cunts runs came on the pansy assed "ball stuck in the wall" homer glitch.

Dawson and Grich's big night carries the Banana Hammocks

Chicago (AP) - A.Dawson and B.Grich each hit 3 homeruns and combined for 12 RBI's while the Hammocks' bullpen outperformed the Ulracher's bullpen down the stretch to beat the Banana Hammocks 15-11.

The star of the day was A.Dawson. The first pick of the FRBI VI draft drove in 8 runners and hit 3 homeruns---one of which an inside the parker due to a glitch and another a grand slam in the 3rd inning to help his team jump out to a 7-0 lead.

With the score tied up at 8 in the top of the 8th inning, the Hammocks wasted no time in jumping on RP Corbett. Grich hit his 2nd HR of the night by turning on the first pitch he saw and Dawson capped the 5 run inning with a 3-run opposite field shot as the Hammocks went up 13-8.

The Ulrachers responded in the bottom half of the 8th with a Reynolds pinch hit 2-run blast and a Clark double later in the inning to narrow the deficit 13-11.

In the top of the ninth with S.Grelts pitching for the Ulrachers, Grich hit another solo shot with one out and Brgmn followed with a pinch hit solo homerun to make it 15-11.
K.Dayley came in and worked out of a jam to pick up the save as he did not allow a runner to cross home plate.

Banana Hammocks 3-3, (2-3)
Fighting Ulrachers 4-2, (4-1)

Mark, you don't have the virtual nes? I didn't record the game----an asterisk in the opening post next to the game under the slot of games played implies the game will be recorded.

I was under the impression that you have been watching the games on the virtual nes. Would you like me to tape your games this season? I tape my games for obvious reasons and I tape the Cunts game for Nacho and I tape the games for TBT since they can't watch their games on the virtual nes.

Just give me the lowdown and it's done.

Must have missed this somewhere along the way.  I don't have virtual nes and haven't bothered because I thought all games were being posted on youtube.  I can set it up if need be.  You're putting in a lot of work for this league.  It's appreciated.

Thanks for the compliment. It is a lot of work but I enjoy it---registering the stats is the only pain in the ass and I have to get that done before week 7 takes place.
If you can set up the virtual nes, that would be great since uploading a game on youtube takes about an hour and really drains my computer. Whenever you have time and just let me know if you have done it.

Nacho has a Mac so he can't download the virtual nes for some reason. I don't know TBT's situation, but he asks so I record. I assume he just can't figure it out.

The other two games will come tomorrow everybody.

Rebel Alliance turn it on late, overcome 12-5 seventh inning deficit

Madison (AP) - T.Herr came off the bench in the bottom of the 8th inning and hit a 3-run shot to cap a 6 run 8th inning and complete an impressive comeback as the Alliance defeated the Poopydicks 15-12.

Down 12-5 in the bottom of the 7th inning, the Alliance woke up. T.Armas hit a towering 2-run blast and Lmbrdz and Barrett hit back-to-back homeruns to reduce the Poopydick lead 12-9. Orosco pitched a scoreless 8th and the Poopydicks put the foot on the throttle and scored 6 runs in the bottom of the 8th inning which was capped off by a dramatic pinch hit homerun by T.Herr.
Shrld relieved Orosco in the top of the ninth to earn the victory as he pitched out of a jam with runners on second and third base and allowed no runs.

The Poopydicks failed to score a run in the final two innings and owners Gantry and McLane were seen throwing chairs at Wally Joyner in the dugout.

The two teams will square off in a return match in Phoenix for week 7.

Poopydicks 3-3, (3-2)
Rebel Alliance 4-2, (3-2)

OC Legions of Doom too much for Awesome Badasses

Oklahoma City (AP) - The fans at  Dock Ellis Magical Mushroom Park were treated to a major display of ongoing fireworks. The only problem is that those fireworks came when their beloved Badasses were in the field as they witnessed a major display of power by the OC Legions of Doom.

The OC hit a record 12 homeruns in the Gantry Divisional game and scored 12 runs in the third inning to shock the Badasses. After the smoke cleared from the barrage of fireworks that followed the rapid fire of homeruns from both teams, the OC scored 26 runs and D.Alxndr earned a complete game victory despite allowing 18 runs.

Most of the damage was inflicted on SP J.Key. The lefty was hammered for 24 hits, 5 HR's, and 16 earned runs in his outing.

M.McGwir and J.Rice each hit 3 homeruns and Brookn aided with a pair of shots. The OC hit a season high 34 hits and scored 26 runs and are now finally showing their power potential and quick strike ability that was missing during their rough start to the season.

The Awesome Badasses were not too shabby themselves on offense in the beginning. They exploded for 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning and scored 16 runs after 4 innings. Unfortunately, the Badasses only managed 2 runs after the fourth inning as D.Alxndr inexplicably settled down and limited their offense. J.Bell hit a pair of HR's and Rick the Destroyer of Dreams Gedmn hit two homeruns in the first inning as the Badasses totaled 8 homeruns. It was not enough and not even Rod Serling could describe the loss.

The OC have positioned themselves right back in the hunt in the Gantry Division with their current two game winning streak over the Badasses.

The Badasses continue to struggle. They have now lost 3 straight and will need to win the majority of the games for the remainder of the season in order to have any hope of reaching the playoffs.

The two teams will conclude their three game series in week 7 right back in Oklahoma City.

OC Legions of Doom 3-3, (2-3)
Awesome Badasses 1-5, (0-5)
