I know there's a version out there that isn't the vs. style where you are right next to your opponent as you would be on a typical stand-up arcade machine.  How does it work so that you don't see what your opponent is pitching? Anyone who has the non vs. style or has played it, does it actually work well? I ask because I'm still building my arcade setup and I wonder how RBI will play with my opponent right next to me.

I've only played on that version a couple times, but, it's really not a problem.

I figured it wouldn't be too huge of a deal, but I wondered how much it affects the hitting game by having your opponent next to you...does it make it easier to hit the ball...that kind of thing...thanks for the response....

I have a stand up machine.  Really hasn't been a problem.  I don't look at my opponent to see where the pitch will be.  Maybe if someone did they could get a small advantage, but I would think if you caught on it would be easy enough to decieve by switching up and faking location.

It's not really that easy to watch and play the game.

Perfect, thanks. That's what I needed to know.

be sure to watch your opponnent though, just in case he's entering the secret A-B-B-A code before a pitch.
