Who would you say is the most laughable, embarassing player on the original RBI roster.  Please take off-field antics heavily into account.

al pedrique.  most kids didn't even know who he was.  i know i didn't until the internet.

I'm looking for a namesake for the "Most Embarrassing" player award for the RBI league.

BeefMaster

If we're including off-field antics, Darryl Strawberry is a good choice, as is hJose Canseco.

I do like the Pedrique suggestion, though - I never knew who he was back then either.

Just for purely sucking, or did Al Engange in some shenanigans off the field too?

If antics weigh heavily, nobody is topping Kevin Mitchell

Just for sucking, plus the fact that he was on the "all-star" team yet none of my friends had any idea who he was, or even what his first name was (we were far too lazy to read the manual).

If you were to give an award for the player with the most embarassing season, would you give it to out of the three you mentioned... Mitchell, Pedrique, or Santana.

I'd think maybe Santana, with his 708 power/38 contact...that's pretty bad.

ryno

How did you people not know al pedrique?  He was the most over produced baseball card in the most over produced set of all time (88 topps)

TβG

i wasn't searching for pirates cards...

I had a decent amount of '88 Topps, but I never had a Pedrique card.

that guy was in every pack I ever bought. . . . fkn rookie all star bullshit.

TempoGL

i also got a bunch of pedrique in 1989 topps...i knew his baseball card before i knew who he was in RBI (we had an early rule against using all-star teams)

That Pedrique 88 card was everywhere, Ryno is right here.

Shooty

Pedro Guerrero has to be the most embarrassing player.  Borderline retarded.

Barton

Why has no one said Al Pedrique? That guy wins, hands down!

Barton still had more to drink than I, he won this fest...

I think Barton had just the right amount last night.

Attezz

Who was that guy that was the shortstop for the all star team but never really an all star in real life?
