What is Dee-Nee chat for?  I don't think I have ever seen anyone in this (except Wumpst one day).

Chat is kinda strange.  Once two people are in, everyone joins in.  There have been many a drunken chats on dee nee.  Always good times.

can't get in chat, I looked at Nightwulf suggestions, even went to Java's page and it says I can't install it for whatever reason, my CPU is less then a year old and there are no available updates as of right now. I refuse to go through IRC because it will make my head explode. It seems to me there has got to be an easier way of making this happen.

have you considered using visichat?  or is the chat software we have the only one supported by smf?

I bought the one we use because at the time it integrated nicely with SMF and cost a grand total of five bucks. Over time it's become horribly insecure and unsupported.

I've looked at a couple other options and will probably find something else to use "soon." SMF 2.0 is still relatively new so as people update packages for the new software more options will come available. There's one or two I like, and another one or two that need to be updated for 2.0 (which I could tackle if things take too long).

I'm open to suggestions. Integration with SMF is pretty important as both Gantry and I would like to avoid making changes to the forum software by hand (since it breaks with every software update).
