Wow, stumbled across this page after about 9 years.

I keep reading about ROMs...anyone still playing the original on NES? Either way,  I love it!

One of the best nicknames in forum history, welcome back!   Still in Illinois?

People still playing ROMs, see Turd's threads as he's carrying the touch while us lazy fuckers argue about naked chicks in Anything Goes.  Also see his site http://rbibaseball.us

I still play on the NES
I would too but Re-peat still have my NES.

Does someone have my Arcade RBI cart?

Bergman aka BurgerTime

Gantry,

You make an RBI Arcade cart?

Gantry

I didn't personally but we did a group order on this site...

Turd

I should once again use this time to offer up the other option, and that is the NES powerpak.  I got one, it's like $120, but 6 carts in and you have it paid for...it's pricey, but if you like updated stuff, it's the most economical way to go because you don't have to keep ordering carts, you just drop your new ROMs on the cart...

If you're just buying one, perhaps nesrepro is the way to go...

That sounds absolutely awesome.

Could you make a thread about it to draw more attention? I feel like many people will miss it here.

Hook up your laptop to the tv and you can have a million Roms for free. Just get whatever controller you want.

I just sent my donor cart out to Nesrepro. Can't wait to get RBI Arcade.

Reading some older posts of this subject, is it really possible to request a version of RBI from Nesrepro that combines teams from original RBI game and RBI arcade?

BeefMaster

It should be possible.  Turd's got a 30-team ROM that he has an editor for (although I don't know that he's released the editor) - you could have all the NES and arcade teams with space for ten more custom teams.

Yes sir! The current girlfriend live in Wheeling too...that was the RBI-playing mecca if I remember right.

AlecTrevylan006

Those custom cartridges are great.

I have put hundreds of hours into my 2004 mod cartridge in the last five years, worth every penny.

The Greeter

Wheeling?  wow, maybe I did move to the hotbed of RBI baseball   Awesome.

Sounds like Greeter, Armas and myself may need to schedule some games.

The Greeter

I agree!  Need to get back in RBI shape it appears, especially now with people taking out ads claiming to be the greatest RBI players ever......

Haven't played in a few years but would be back to where I was with about 10 games under my belt.
