Just wanna chime in that I haven't forgotten about you guys.

My new job and the g/f suck up most of my free time to work on all the pitchers for the new ROM.

However, Its still being worked on.... just slowly :-)

Turd, I see you develop a lot of these nes ROM hacking utilities. Have you or do you plan to release the source code for any of them? Also how do you do the ratings? Wouldn't you be able to parse some player ratings from lets say... espn.com and use that to generate in game ratings? Curious as I'd really like to take a look at the code.

I haven't ever released the source code because a lot of it is really shitty "just get it done" type stuff and wouldn't be anything worth sharing.  Especially the 30-Team editor, since it's written in WPF, and I really don't know XAML all that well so it's really a fucking mess.  For ratings, I start with a base formula for contact, power, speed, and some pitching stats, and then I tweak from there.  Pitching is the most difficult thing to rate...

I know there hasn't been movement on this, but I'm working on a new stats gathering method that should GREATLY ease the rating of my ROMS (plus the possibility of another cool hack).  So, I have no idea when this will be done, or of it'll be done before the 2013 season, but pain now = potential greatness and really fast rating of ROMs later on...

Haha, Turd I'll only bug you one more time... If you were to release the source others would be able to help contribute, I don't know what you have planned for the stats gathering method, but I possible could help contribute to that, but if anything I could help clean up some of the code up.

Regardless, I cant wait for the 2013 ROM to come out

Hey guys... bad news.  All my work I've done with the pitchers thus far has either been deleted, corrupted or otherwise unusable.

I still don't quite understand what happened to all my files...  :-(

Man, this is going to be real nice...the only thing painful thing about rating ROMs now will be the pitch speed.  I must see if I can somehow automate that from pitchfx data...


Soon I'll post my projected lineups for all the teams and ask that the rest of you help in updating them as usual...

Been entering lineups, but I wonder if it's smarter to wait until things solidify before doing so...maybe release teh ROM week 1 of season begin so that it's more accurate? It should go pretty quick now that I have a helper program to assist me...
