Yeah, I've been busy too and haven't been able to chip away at it. Perhaps this ROM will be more of a preseason release :)

beastietg

Its a work in progress for sure...  But I'm still testing things.

If you wanna see my version of the line-ups, I can send that too.

If you ever find time to update and fix bugs in the editor I know I'd be appreciative of that. (But you are a person with a life so I know I can't keep my hopes up too high :D )

None yet, got some new tabletop sim baseball games and a football board game that have been taking up my time.  I also got burned out and got busy at work, so that's a progress killer right there.

I think I said above I was going to shoot more for a preseason 2013 ROM instead of post-season...

Hi,

I was just recently introduced to updated RBI roms the other day by someone who told me about RBIbaseball.us. Anyways, I play RBI baseball on my phone all the time, and have just recently started paying close attention to the actual MLB teams, players, etc. Anyways, I'm a Braves fan, and have been tearing apart the web for a 2012 version, I did find a rom but it only contains the playoff teams, which is fine and dandy, but i figured yall here were the pros and I wanted to help in any way that I can. Anyway, just to get an idea of where you are at, it looks like you had plans of releasing the new 2012 rom, but got busy and pushed it back til preseason 2013. Is the rom still going to be based on the ending rosters of 2012 or the changing rosters of early 2013? I wanted to put together a Braves roster, as I didn't see one already made, I glanced quickly, so I may have missed it, but again, I have a good one if it is still necessary for your work on the new rom.

Thanks for all the work!

I'm not sure what Turd's plans are for the future RBI Baseball 30 Team ROM.  He mentioned releasing a 2013 ROM instead of the post season 2012.  Turd made a ROM that had a few special hacks in it. I had been testing it and was gonna give feedback. The rosters were mostly done, but not complete.  I was gonna use that ROM and finish the rosters and share my team line-ups and stats and let others give their comments on my feedback.

However, that particular ROM isn't fully compatible with the ROM Editor that Turd put out for regular people to change up the teams.  [I believe Turd has other editors and programs he uses personally to make changes but is not available for everyone and anyone to use].  So I went back to using the RBI30 Team ROM that comes with Turd's 30Team editor. I changed all the team line-ups to have what I felt was the best and most realistic batting line-ups for the 2012 season.  I did my best trying to take into consideration player injuries, trades and reassignments.  Attributes were generated by my own method.  The pitchers were picked based mostly on which pitchers had the best stats for each team.  I have 2 starters and 2 relief for mostly all the teams.

If you're not familiar with the editor I can let you know all the things that you can change in the game.  If you want to make your own ROM you can download the RBI 30Team editor.  Or if you'd rather just give me the line-up you want I can make a ROM for you.

I'll just go ahead and include everything I've got up to this point and upload it here.  If you have anymore questions please feel free to ask.  My ROM does not include the special hacks Turd had been working on.  It plays just like the original game except I made the CPU defense a little faster.  You can adjust that setting in the editor.  Its pretty simple to use and understand. Also my ROM does not include trades made after the World Series.

Enjoy!

Yea, I got a new job that is taking my time too.  Lately, when I take a break from RBI Baseball I go play Mario Superstar Baseball on GameCube.  :-P

[I gave MLB Power Pros 2008 for Wii a try too.  Its not a bad baseball game at all.  I had fun with it.]

I loved power pros. The fact that it stopped getting released was a major bummer. I also tried Bobble Head pros, but that also failed to deliver on updates or expansions to be able to edit players.

For the ROM, I have a definite goal to release one ROM a year, but I got in spurts of having tons of time and then having no time.  Now that we have some more interest, perhaps a joint effort is in order to release a ROM.  Beastie, I can try and spend some time to clean up the most recent version of the 30 team editor and send it to you if you want to help out.  I am done with batters, I just need to finish pitchers...

Let me know...

Turd

P.S. Cannellizer, thanks for your interest.  I was going to release a end of year and preseason ROM, but now it looks more like a 2013 ROM preseason is in effect that would basically be the same attributes as I've rated them for 2012, but on their new teams, so your Braves would no longer have Chipper in the new ROM...make sense?

beastietg

That would be awesome to have an updated editor.  I can definitely still help out for the official ROM.

Just let me know what you would like to be done and I'll take my free time to work on that.

Awesome. I am going to check out your 2012 upload and see how it plays. If its good i will just stick with that, I may end up checking out the other downloads you posted and if I have questions I will let you know. Thanks again.

Hey man, this Rom is great! It's got all my favorite players (for the Atlanta Braves) on it. I like how it is a little juiced for the CPU to be a little harder. The only very minor detail, is that I was hoping to see Kris Medlen on there, just because of the stellar season he had, but I understand he didn't make an appearance til about mid season or so. He could very easily be swapped in there for Tommy Hanson, who fell apart towards the end of the season. I was really happy to see Kimbrel in there though, he is awesome. Other than that though, I couldn't be happier with the Rom, I appreciate your work on it, and will continue to play it until the release of the 2013 Preseason Rom. Let me know if there is anything I can do.

Thanks again!
