I've actually gotten into rating hitters. I have an interesting idea for a hack too. Need to know if its possible. Will post when I know more.

I've got the following teams rated for hitters:

Arizona
Atlanta
Baltimore
Boston
Cincinnati
Chicago Cubs
Chicago White Sox

With my base rating scale, I've been able to make this process go quicker, so I should have most of the hitters done in the next few days.

Beastie, I'll probably send to you soon for a little feedback and playtesting.  This groundball hack is in its infancy, and I want to make sure it plays like it should without messing up the RBI mojo...anyone else who wants to help with playtesting the groundball hack and other ratings, please let me know.

Thanks Brett, looks like you really just made pitching changes...

I kind of thought Strasburg should be in there and decided I'd address that when I rated pitchers.

Anyone on here have a rbi 2 or rbi 3 editor? I found this site http://softerhosting.com/rbi/list.php?sdf but you can't change the stats so it seems.. any help would be appreciated thanks.

Nope, I'm good, thanks. I've started the rating process, thanks to your (and others help). Lineups are the worst part...

That said, I'm a little nervous how this will play with the new groundball hack...that process might be an evolution...in any event, I'll have people play test and whatnot and give feedback.

@PreDeadMan - Sorry, I'd have to agree with Turd. You're outta luck checking around here for RBI 2/3 (But I did enjoy the sound FX [I think it would be cool to have some of those SFX in RBI 1])

@ Turd - I can't wait to try it and I'll absolutely give feedback.  By the way, I was using your editor and making adjustments on player's batting averages and spotted something that I'm not sure if you've noticed. When I input an .AVG that has a 0 in the middle of the number (e.g. .306) the editor doesn't keep the 0 in the middle spot and instead will save as .360.  The first digit doesn't matter .103 will save as .130.  Unless the third digit is also a 0 the middle digit 0 will always swap with the third digit (.100 will still be .100 obviously.  But a .009 will save as a .090)  Again, I'm not sure if you are already aware or not.  I noticed it when I kept trying to save SF Giant's Marco Scutaro's .AVG as .306 and when I played the ROM it appeared as .360 and when I reloaded the ROM in the editor it was .360 again. I checked a few other player's .AVG and found this to be true for any player, and any team. So I tested all the different numbers and how they saved and came up with this observation.  I tested this also for pitcher's ERAs and it looks like there are no problems in that category.  I hope this helps!

Yeah, I knew about that bug, it doesn't show up on later ROMs because I use my web-based editor for that, but that editor isn't a multi-user thing, just something I wrote that runs on my local development server.  I should probably get around to fixing the editor itself...

ok, I understand its not a perfect program. I was just curious to know if you knew of the glitch.  I can work around it for my ROMs.
