Guys, I'm starting to compile the lineups for the post-season ROM.  I'm going to use a combination from couple of sites as a default, but I'm going to allow "team experts" to override that as we've done in the past.  So, if you so desire, please reply in this thread with:

8 starters
4 bench guys
2 SP
2 RP

I don't need ratings, just lineups.

For AL teams, there's no DH built into the game, but a guy like Big Papi should probably be in the lineup, so feel free to put him in and leave someone else off as the first bench player...basically pretend all AL teams are playing in an NL ballpark.

I'm working on a some other supplemental stuff to go with this ROM, but first things first, the ROM needs to get done.  The more lineups I have, the more I can get to the ratings.

Thanks! I'm going to go down the list in order that they are on the ROM, so starting with Arizona, Atlanta, Baltimore, etc...

Turd

P.S. I want this to be the best ROM I've done yet, and hopefully with some of the code I wrote to automate some things, I can make a yearly ROM update a reality.

Justin Morneau

Scott Diamond
Sam Deduno or Cole DeVries
Jared Burton
Glen Perkins

Doumit usually starts, but they run a rotation of Morneau, Mauer, and Doumit at C/1B/DH, and this lineup is NL-friendly.  If you want to work him in, bench Casilla and leave them short a middle infielder (although it's not bad to have Doumit as a strong bat off the bench).  Pedro Florimon replaced Dozier on the roster for the last month and a half of the season, so if you're trying to reflect how they ended the year and not the season as a whole, you could do the same.

This is a surprisingly decent team - decent lineup (speed on top, power in the middle), great relievers, and while the starting pitching is what killed the Twins this year, picking just two is at least not a complete disaster.

Of course, with the myriad of injuries, this crew never actually played together.  However, it represents players that played a lot in 2012 and look to be part of the team for next year.

Perfect, tthanks guys.  And fatty, that's quite ok...I think it's good to keep it realistic, but at the same time a Rockies fan will probably have more fun with this lineup, and it's a believable one, so it works.

Thanks for all the help...these are the teams in need of lineups to feed into my base ROM generator.  After that, I will go through and tweak like a boss.  Then it's onto pitching...

The AL teams are especially painful to get lineups for because I need to find an appropriate NL lineup  for them. A lot of times I'll put the DH in a spot even though he might not play 1B or whatever just to get him in, since RBI doesn't have fielding attributes anyways.

I'll fire up Baseball-Reference and try to nail down some of these teams.

Yeah, I use a combo of MLBDepthCharts.com, BR's team pages, and BR's common batting order  pages...I tried to only include guys who are still on the team at the end of the season, so Alex Gonzalez on the Dodgers instead of the Sox, etc...

Thanks for stepping up, fighton...
