For becoming the new head coach of the Detriot Tigers.  Unfortunatly, they'll still lose 90 games!

No prob...rumor has it that orozco is soon to retire...sucks but the guy is 44 years old.  LA just uses him for bonds but he really didn't pitch that much this year.  Also Franco might be done as well with new management coming in

Did you guys see that Trammell hired Kirk Gibson to be a bench coach.  All they need now is to bring Nokes and Evans back and the Tigers would be unstoppable.

I guess I was just referring to the former RBI players, but yeah, Parrish was a good pickup for them as well.  He had some good numbers and probably would have been a great slugger in RBI.  Too bad he was on the Phillies in '87.

By the way, Lance Parrish can suck my ass. They Phillies blew in the late 80's and they decided to pick up one big free agent--Lance. He sucked so bad that his wife was booed when they showed her face on the phanavision.

yah we are going to have to take gibby off the announcers list and put him on the coaches list... if there is anyone who can light a fire under a team it is kgibson...  the guy is nails.


as for former tigers on  the staff, you can add juan samuel to that list.

Trammell finished 9thin manager of the year voting in 2003.

Same year Tony Pena won it.

Very sad day.
