You just have to catch chat at the right time. I imagine the channel goes unused for hours at a time, but really lights up when several of us join at once.

On the index page of the forums (by clicking "Dee-Nee Forums" above), scroll down to the bottom. In the "Users Online" section you'll see if anyone is chatting or not. Generally I'll jump in if anyone else is there.

I think the problem is getting that first person in the chatroom.  Once someone's in there, then other people are likely to join, but it seems weird to enter when it's empty.

Sometimes when I'm not busy I sit there and idle all day in case people decide to get on the bandwagon.  What else better do you have to do?  Come on.

Yeah, I was doing that for a while. The problem I ran into was that I wouldn't notice when someone actually did join. They'd try talking to me, then give up and leave.
