I think he should be in the Hall of Fame, TBH.

Shooty

Especially now that he can't enjoy it.

Just realized that Del Crandall passed in 2021 and missed it

If my count is accurate now, only 81 arcade players still alive

On a happier note, Happy 75th Birthday to Enos Cabell

I believe Tiant was fairly prominent in Bill Lee's autobiography, although it has been a very long time since I've read that (I got it for Christmas when I was like ten, which in retrospect was probably much too young to have read Bill Lee's autobiography).

I read several baseball biographies around that age.  For some reason the following stick out: Tommy John, Dave Dravecky, Don Baylor.

I think it was a fine age for a baseball biography generally, but Lee's had a substantial amount of drugs and extramarital sex.

Ah.  TJ and Dravecky were both conservative guys.  Baylor was not very scandalous, although I just remembered that I read Ball Four in 7th grade.  I should re-read it as I am sure a ton flew over my head.

I did a book report on Mark Fidrych's biography once in grade school.  I found his mailing address in some baseball card magazine a few years later and sent him a card to sign as well as the book report, thinking maybe he'd sign that too or something.

He sent me the signed card back but kept the book report.

TempoGL

it was probably on his fridge for several months

I'm assuming he talked to it, imploring it to get a better grade.

Ferando is the 13th NES player to pass away and definitely a tough on to believe.  I thought I saw him not long ago looking pretty good.  He is also the 80th Arcade player gone, now 1/2 the arcade players are still around.
