There were a good 5 accounts waiting for activation.  One was a second account named SNICKERS (I won't say who but check your email XYZ@utulsa.edu) and one was blatant spam.  That would be 3 potential new users, assuming I didn't screw up the resending of the activation email.  Which I likely did...

Well I assume said unknown person was going to post as snickers, as if they wanted to be anonymous for voting they wouldn't use that name.  The last registered member is always shown on the main page.

So for the 3rd time in the last week (twice in the last 12 hours), the server has run out of memory.  Last time this happened some fuck from France was DOS'ing me - making so many connections to my server that the (admittedly meager) memory ran out.  Blocked that set of IPs before, looks like I'll have to chase them around again. 

And of course I'm going out of town tomorrow so the forums will likely go down when I'm away.  Have fun!

Think it's related to that Apache security bug from a couple days ago, systems are scanning the internet in droves looking for insecure systems.  I don't use said insecure system but that doesn't stop people from trying over and over.
