In yet another move by The Empire, we have released Sndbrg and have acquired Barret. Barret played a significant role with The Empire when he platooned with O.Smith and helped us win it all in season FRBI V.

What a game! Pitcher starts a ninth inning rally.

Nice work getting the batting stats current, I don't remember anyone doing that in previous leagues.

That was indeed the best game of the year.

Reardn hits a triple with 1 out in the 9th with the EZ Listeners down 15-12, then O.Smith and C.Davis hit back-to-back doubles to set the stage for the Hawk's walkoff blast. Worrel got torched there in the 9th and Tempo's bullpen kept his team in the game. Stanly and Reardn combined for 3 hits and only 1R in 2 innings pitched and that was the deciding factor in the game. And man, that's a killer when a pitcher gets a hit at any time in the game - momentum changers!

R.Jcksn continues to disappoint. 2-5 with only a double and 1 RBI. He only managed a sac fly with the bases juiced. And Raines came out huge today. 3 homeruns, 4-6 at the plate, and 5 rbi.

For Tempo's team, Dawson did what he does and he came through in the clutch. O.Smith contributed big time and played to his role perfectly. 1-4 in Tempo's lineup was a pinball machine: 15-23, 4 HR, 11 RBI, and 10 runs scored. Sound lineup construction, Tempo!

Sbrhgn and Key pitched outstanding in relief.

The RC Diplomats were outscored 8-3 by EZ for the last 4 innings.  It was 12-8 going into the 6th, then the RC sticks got cold and couldn't put the game away or even establish a bigger lead going into the 9th. In the 9th, RC ran into the wrong part of the lineup after that devastating Reardn triple. Worrel just couldn't get a popup from either Reardn or O.Smith or from both to put the game away or at least get another out. Rough day for Worrel.

There were only two double plays and two stat X's. Errors continue to plague the league - 5 this game. I forgot how many runs they led to, but I'll look into it. Honestly, it sucks when the errors hurt you more, but I love the randomness factor of the errors and of course when the errors hurt the opposing team more. The Force will protect the Empire from errors in the big games this year - angel protection.

Two 0-fers this game - Mdlck and Shrdn both went 0-5, ouch.
