Here is the low-doe:

RBI Baseball Tourney Rules/Format
1. Round Robin
2. Single elimination bracket placement by win-loss then run differential
3. Championship game is Best of 3
4. Coin toss winner chooses matchup and home/away
5. Coin toss loser chooses team first
6. Anything goes pitchwise
7. One starting pitcher used per team, per game
8. Can only use relief pitchers mid game, unless game goes into extra innings second starter may be used
9. Infield fly unless there is an error
10. Title game: Coin toss winner chooses matchup and home/away for Game 1, opponent chooses team first... Opponents switch teams and home/away for Game 2... Run differential from Games 1 and 2 determine choice of team or home/away first for Game 3.
11. Note: When fielding ball close to the wall, run away from the wall prior to throwing it to avoid ball in stands glitch. In that case, all baserunners will have to score in order to continue the game. Sorry :/

It always warms my heart that we have to put in rules/recommendations for stuff like this.

I get how those rules make things a bit more challenging, but why exactly are you using this 1SP rule per game rather than anything goes concerning the pitchers? Also, do you know of any tournaments this fall?

We ended up using any 3 pitchers within the first 9 innings, then the one last pitcher could be used for extra innings if needed. I explained to Retro that it was more a rule to legit utilize the pitchers the they would be used in real life. Would you see Hurst and Roger tossing in the same game? That was the main reason. It turned out pretty good after we lifted that rule the night of. It made for some fun regardless. It was our first ever attempt in running an RBI Tourney. We've learned. Now we adjust. Which was the main reason we posted on this specific forum. We are an open minded group of guys who take into consideration that there is always an eventual way to make things perfect. Which is where I feel the Tecmo community is at.

Also. I guess it falls into the exact same situation as throwing Rice in at RB in Tecmo. It's doable within the game but not a standard. Should you throw Hurst and Clemens as relief pitchers or vice versa? Regulating the way you utilize your position players in Tecmo is no different than putting in a rule for the way you use your "starting pitchers".
