I've said it before, but Bad News Baseball is a great game in it's own right.  The major flaw with it is not having MLBPA players.  Otherwise, I might dare say that it's better than RBI.  Very similar gameplay, but with actual assigned fielding positions, fielding ratings, and more player ratings.  Benches/pitching rotations are a bit deeper too.

Yes. I've been a big proponent for about 15 years here. I have a very nice spreadsheet detailing all the rosters and position strengths.
