Some of these choices seem odd.  Doug Rader played 1405 games in the majors.  ZERO at catcher.

Dave Rader: https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/r/raderda01.shtml

My bad.  I assumed that the only team shitty enough to have Rader playing for them was the Astros who had Doug Rader.

Dave Rader is a weird fucking choice for the Giants all-time catcher.

Draft day tomorrow - should be exciting and fascinating. I'm sure there'll be some surprise picks and I'm expecting most of that from Ryno if he goes wild card again. We'll cover 2½ rounds tomorrow and will have 5 rounds done by Friday. The Empire is doing last minute scouting on the rest of the players we want to have a look at, so we'll be ready and there'll be no slip ups this draft. I wonder how far off my mock draft will be which is guided by past drafts.

I considered Ernie Banks in the first round/first pick since he's a SS with crazy pop and has gigantic distance from the rest of the SS's. Tempo will have good options in the middle rounds since he got that pick out of the way and in a positive way. After thinking about Banks, I couldn't stop thinking about Hack Wilson

In a 18-game season, Banks is projected to hit between 620 to 660 and should yield 18-24 HRs.  I have 91 simulated at-bats of him against all the pitchers. Can't argue with Tempo's pick even if he passed up on 975 power.

I thought Banks would fall to the 7th or 8th pick. Assumed nobody would pass up on 975 power and perhaps Bench would go before Banks.

Banks is a good pick at #2. Wilson is a bad pick at #1.

lol, don't let him hear that! His five feet and 195 pound frame with an 18-inch neck will find you and beat you whether he's severely drunk or not. He's the type of player to resurrect the Empire - very combative and we'll look the other way with his excessive alcohol consumption. All fighting with opposing team players/coaches and with hecklers in the stands will be encouraged. He's gonna be a triple crown winner this year and should be near 30 jacks with his 10 contact and 975 power ... and impressive neck shaft.

They don't make them like they used to! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hack_Wilson

Banks was #1 on my draft board.  Darky fucked up.

I don't recall you having a draft that yielded a championship and two trips to the finals...meat.  :D  Win the big one and then you can bark!

Does this league have the standard 10 run slaughter rule?

I trialed a 15-run mercy rule for the summer classic tournament to see how that would play out. With the firepower in the Arcade version, teams will have a good chance to prolong games and mount a comeback since there'll be some big innings. I am considering a 13 or 15-run mercy rule for the season. A 10-run mercy rule seems too little for this league. I have no issues doing the extra scoring.

Field a playoff team and win the big one for once ... then talk ... sucka! The Empire is coming...

Good pick btw, Bench is gonna mash strong.

I think this is what nomaaa is talking about. You don't get to talk trash after you've given yourself the first pick (and botched it, btw).

Darky

How does one botch the best hitter in the league by a mile?! Yeah, yeah, you guys are experts now  :D  Feel free to run a league and put in all the work and then set up rules for trash talking
