Seems like Tempo revolutionized the drafting method imo. When GDavis passes up on crazy power, it's very shocking. He took Jim Rice (16C/903P) and that selection fits into what he is doing, even if Rice underperforms his ratings. I say that because he only hit 10 HR's with a .551 average in 87 at-bats. He had very interesting splits from two different sets of SP's when I ran him through all the teams on my scout rom - 24/46 8 HR and 24/41 2 HR. Weird since I was expecting more HRs and a higher average with his 16 contact and 900 power. Then again, maybe he didn't enjoy the 2-hole I had him in. Don't get me wrong, those are good numbers, but I think the creators glitched him somewhere deep in the hidden code.

Another player similar in performance to him is Roy Campanella (12C/885P). Camp went 44-92 (.532) with 15 HR's where the splits were 4HR and 11HR. I can't say for sure since I didn't scout Torre, but from what I saw everytime I saw Torre hit, he was always getting hits and launching bombs.

Anyways, those simulations don't mean automatic replication since the stats can vary dramatically in even 3 games in under 90 at-bats in a 18-game season, but those are the numbers I recorded in my scout rom. I'm still convinced that a player thrives better in some hitting spots than others - has to be something in the code.

Torre hits just as good as Camp and Rice didn't hit too many bombs on my scout rom when I simulated against all the teams and different starting pitchers. I forgot what else I wrote and no way I read those fuckton of words again.

Also, would be funny if Ryno took another RF and 1B and then I took a combo of those two for my next two picks! Man would the trade calls come in a fury    Hope you guys get your guys before the 8th round in case somebody might want to weaken ya'll! Didn't Tempo do that to Nacho last draft?!

He tried to stick me with the worst SS, but in the end I prevailed by getting the SECOND worst SS.

lol! The creators give him a boost glitch somewhere in the hidden code. I simmed all the SS's, and he was the surprising gem. Al Darky hit .542 with 9 HR's in 18 games. And he outperformed all the other SS's and 3B men by a mile, as well as all the second baseman. Jackie Robinson was consistent and will give me a .500 mark with some pop in HR's and triples. Jackie outperformed all the other second basemen by a decent margin. Lopes high contact kills him if anyone was wondering - he may touch .420 if he's has a good year, but he'll have some pop.

Starting Monday, make sure some of you get proxies and to check the draft schedule because I won't allow any more elbow room. I won't be laptop accessible on any given moment and that means I can't promise to pm some of you on FB for a reminder next week due to work. If your time runs out and somebody goes ahead and drafts, then that's how it'll be. If you get skipped twice, then don't say you weren't warned. Drafts usually slow down after the first week simply because people take their own sweet time, but now I just gave the lowdown.

I would have taken Canseco. He'll make up for the different between Cedano and Lynn. I haven't seen much of those guys since I took Hack first and thus didn't bother to scout them, but I may run some sims to see how that plays out over 18 games. Then again, maybe not. My head is really dizzy from all the sims
