Each of my eight position players homered. Good lord.

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

Pleased with the home run output, but the team just could not buy a single or double all game. Mario Fucking Soto also killed us with the bat... I think he had two triples and a double.

UHF Ch.62 hit a barrage of doubles to pull away and leave Tropicana in the dust in a 7-inning mercy rule victory.

Ultimate Chicago Channel 62 outdoubled Tropicana 16-6 and outhit the Staircases by racking up 35 hits in just 53 at-bats in what was a non-competitive game. Reggie Jackson and Kirk Gibson each laced a 3 doubles and Ozzie Smith ended the game with a walk-off mercy rule homer - it was his 4th of the year. UHF now moves into 5th place with a 3-game winning streak after losing 6 consecutive games and appear to have their early season mojo back. Tropicana's 3-game losing streak has come to an end and now sit in 7th place by just a game over the Empire with just 3 games left. Joe Niekro was rocked for 14 runs in just 2.1 innings pitched.

Ozzie hits homers.  Sndbrg struggles to hit at a pitcher level

Hank Aarron, Jimmie Fox, and Ron Cey all homer twice and combine for 15 RBI to lead Ye Old Stylers to non-competitve 22-17 win. Danny Cox pitched effectively in relief and limited the High Fives to only 3 runs while preventing any kind of comeback and big inning. Hank Aarron now league homerun leader with his two shots. Old Stylers remain in 4th place while High Fives drop to 9th place.

Everything is a conspiracy when you lose  :D  The broadcast went the full distance, but it was delayed due to the wifi connection. I was broadcasting live, but could see that on Twitch on my iphone, that the broadcast was behind 10 minutes or 1 game. So when I was done with all the games on the OBS Studio, I made my usual post game comments while the broadcast you guys were getting and I was getting on Twitch, was still going. So I turned off the OBS Studio, and then somehow the delayed broadcast shutdown. Fortunately, I recorded the games, so it's real easy to see on Youtube how the game UHF vs Tropicana game continued without a glitch if you watch the Twitch video. Then you could see how I started recording and went straight to your game and Ryno's from the UHF wins screen. That is, there was no reset or fresh start with your game and Ryno's. Just double check the Twitch recording and YT recording and it's all there to see that nothing unusual went down.

Anyways, I'm about to post the boxscore from the last game, and then update the schedule and standings.

I'll test run some games on Twitch live to see how the bufferting is affecting the broadcast. I may just have to get super close to the modem so there is no delay and I'll check the settings because the broadcast was horseshit due to going wifi and having not the best wifi at my brother's house. YT and Netflix pauses at times as well. In any case, I'll make sure the full broadcast happens.

Mickey Mantle's huge day and Bedrosian's determination fuels Pabst Blue Ribbons to 19-15 victory and back into 1st place.

Mickey Mantle had 6 hits, 2 HRs, and 6 RBI to lead the 1st place PBR hitters. Steve Bedrosian broke a 10-10 tie in the top of the 7th and the PBR never looked back after that as they held off a late surge by the BB Kings when Fernando Valenzuela came in to shut things down and did so with one pitch to pick up the save. Bedrock was inserted into the #2 SP role and had a good outing as he lasted until the 9th and limited the BB Kings. It is reported that Bedrock will start against the Empire in week 16.

With the win, the Pabst Blue Ribbons have the best record in the league and are in first place all alone. The BB Kings are now in second place. If the season ended today, the PBR and BB Kings would earn an automatic bid into the semifinals.

Nice work, ryno.

I'm honestly surprised that Hank Aaron is leading the league in HRs. His hitting hasn't been particularly clutch or timely this year IIRC. Lots of solo shots when the game is out of reach or when the lead is already sufficiently large.

This aged poorly.

Also, I don't know how much longer I can keep rolling with Cy Young in the pen. He's been awful all year. He's gotta be at or near the bottom of the league in ERA.

When the lights are bright and you need a star to deliver, Hank will get it done! He's having a better season than he did in the Arcade season. Before this game, he was hitting .667 with 22 jacks. He hit .516 with only 18 bombs in the Arcade season. Aaron was the Arcade WS MVP - in 6 games he hit .647 with 12 homeruns and was on fire in the Arcade playoffs.

I think you expect too much out of him, like to hit .800 and hit bombs like Mantle did in the Arcade year. Only one player hit over .700 in the Arcade season (McGwire) and the second best homerun total was 28, also by McGwire - Mantle had 39.

Aaron didn't have the best year for me in the Arcade season, but he'll have huge games and he seems to turn it up when it matters most.

I haven't been disappointed in Aaron at all. Frank Robinson is the only player that I think hasn't lived up to expectations. I was just surprised to see he was the league leader.

BeefMaster

Sutter's really struggling all of a sudden. That was a hell of a game to watch but not a great showing by my pitching staff.

Empire's 5 runs in the 10th more than enough to secure win over Pabst Blue Ribbons.

Dick Schoefield's huge day at the plate helped lead the Empire to their 3rd straight win and into 6th place. Schoefield blasted 3 homeruns and drove in 9 runners. Carl Hubbell pitched a scoreless 10th to seal the win and it was a bases loaded double play that killed PBR momentum in the 10th. In the 9th with two outs and Gaetti at second base, Yogi Berra hit into a linedrive double play to end the PBR threat with the score even at 22.

The PBR's defeat pushes them down into second base via tiebreaker with the BB Kings. Moral leader and team consultant badass, Steve Bedrosian, made his first ever start in FRBI history. Unfortunately, his arm appeared tired from the overload in week 15 and was rocked by the Empire.

Willie McCovey hit 4 homeruns with 9 RBI to fuel the BB Kings to a 21-14 win and back into first place. Hollywood led until after the 5th inning when the BB Kings took control of the game. Down 15-6 in the top of the 8th, Hollywood scored 7 runs to get back in the game, but the BB Kings quickly responded with 6 runs in the bottom half of the 8th. Doyle Alexander put out the fire in the 8th and prevented any kind of Hollywood comeback in the 9th. Hollywood's loss drops them into 7th place via tiebreaker. Hollywood, Empire, and Tropicana all have 7-9 records with two games to go. With Canada and the High Fives one game back at 6-10, the wildcard round remains open.
