I was thinking that Nightwulf had hacked it in at some point, but I'm not seeing it in the editor, so now I'm thinking it was actually the "per-pitcher batting" hack.

I vote keeping pitchers at 9, but don't feel too strongly about it

I think it's silly to move the pitcher out of #9.  Every team will do it and therefore the advantage will be negated.

I agree, though it'd be interesting to see how many people moved the pitcher to the leadoff spot versus, say, the 3 spot.

It's impossible. The 9-hole is a fixed position for the pitchers. You can only change 1-8 in the editor.

nomaaa - think it's a good idea to maybe keep changing the subject to have the name of the person up as the first word?  That way it's easy to see/notice from the main page, we can double team it if you're down.
