Does anyone know why RBI opted for Marc Sullivan over Greenwell, The Gator got snubbed as far as I'm concerned. What is also disappointing about this is that he was a shoe in for the Hall Of Shame. He quit baseball to race cars, and he currently owns a putt-putt place in southern Florida
What do you got there, the 4 volt? I did you a favor.

Not to mention Burks who didn't even play on the '86 Sox.  But I don't think Greenwell did much at all in '86, not that Sullivan did.

Greenwell defintly had some AB's in the playoffs that year

Greenwell in 1986:

35abs, 11hits, 0hrs, 4rbis, .314 avg, 5 postseason ABs

You know Sullivans ABs in 1986, but didn't bat at all in the postseason...

I guess thats why

If you look at the 1986 Red Sox:

Ray Quinones was actually the bench player with the most ABs, HRs and RBI.   Also worth nothing that Ed Romero had more appearances at SS than Spike Owen, yet he made RBI.  It just wouldn't fit with Romero batting eighth for the sox though...

One thing to remember too is that RBI came out after the 1987 season.   Since you had so many losers for that last bench spot, why not pick Greenwell?   You got to see how good he was in 1987 before picking the team...

I think Sullivan was a pretty bad choice.  Shit, at least put Romero in there at SS and give us Spike Owen as a bench player.  At least he is lefty...

Greenwell would have been a poor man's Mike Aldrete, a much better choie than Sullivan as well...
