How do you use mame emulator?

I can't figure out how to use the mame emulator to run rbi nes or rbi arcade.  Does anyone know how?

Gantry, thanks for the advise.  Everything is working.  But the emulator is super slow.  Is there any way to speed it up or is my computer probably just too crappy?

When I tested out on a machine at work, it was also quite slow.  I would try my FAQ question regarding the standard NES version.  Pretty sure MAME takes more horsepower than the NES emulators, so the plain-jane version might treat you better.  Let me know it goes, as that FAQ ? is a bit skinnier on the details...
