So what happens if we hit 24 hours and GreatScott still hasn't picked, we just skip him?

nobody has ever missed the 24-hour mark

ultimate7

We probably should just skip him and let others draft, or we could say with the #26 pick Great Scott selects, Al Pedrique.

:)

put the pick he missed at the end of the draft.  we don't want to do anything that would make him want to quit, like picking Spike Owen.

#44
Well we could do NFL style, he can pick as soon as he shows up, in the mean time we can all fill in our picks as fast as possible, if we get to his next pick, it would buy him another 24 hours to make the picks.

Whatever we do, USC should be on the clock now, it's been 24 hours I believe.

What we'll do if someone missed their pick is that they are skipped, and they can make that selection at any time after that, but the draft keeps moving without them, and any players selected after that are done.

i.e. if you have the third pick in the second round and run out of time,  the guy with the fourth pick can go and pick anyone, and then the guy with the fifth pick, etc. At any time, you can make your second round selection, as long as they haven't already been taken.

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

I think GreatScott has until 1:38 forum time.

ultimate7

You're right, I was looking at USC's last pick time, forgot about teddy's pick.

Glenn Davis, that was a surprise, didn't expect him to go that early.  Damn I wanted DeCinces.

GD was a big surprise.
I couldn't pass on Ruppert.  I was trying to convince myself for five minutes but it obviously didn't happen.
So who's going to open the pitching floodgates?

I just wiped my ass then smelled the toilet paper.  What's wrong with me?

the dude either has some high float or a mess between the cheeks.

It's been 2 days since I picked and I've slowly watched everyone I wanted get drafted, now I don't know who the heck I'm going to pick.  Poolstroke please show up so I can make a pick today.

Well, Geena did have the most power of and IF left on the board, so I can see where BeefMaster would make that choice. And Rupperto is so tough to ignore.

Really, I don't see any selections that absolutely make me scratch my head at this point. I'm with fknmclane - someone's going to take a pitcher, and it's going to go all haywire after that...

hey guys, i might be online to check on the draft a couple times tonight.  i'll leave my next two proxy picks with fighton, just in case.

i can't believe everyone isnt devoting every waking hour to breaking down stats and putting lists together, at least they could be signed on... oh well.
Quote from: Nacho on 03/15/16, 10:17:08 AMWe've had babe drafts. We've had a sandwich draft. We can have our babes and eat sandwiches, too.

BeefMaster

I'll try to have a list together before I leave town tomorrow morning.  I don't know whether I'll be back online this evening... it'll depend on how boring the debate is.

It's officially been 48 hours since I made my last pick.

that's all.

Now 60 hours, hopefully poolstroke will pick by noon today, I'm gonna be out from 12:30 until around 7:00.

You guys should have done this over dee-nee chat, at least a portion of it.  15 minutes of everyone in chat would have scooped up 3 rounds...

ultimate7

The good news is that there are only 98 picks left, so we are bascially certain to be done with the draft by early January 2005.

Somewhere Joe Dirt is laughing about this ... and probably masturbating with glee

fightonusc

Well, poolstroke has another two hours to make his next pick - after that, he's getting skipped.
