Potsie and I squared off to play our first game in quite some time, probably 6-8 weeks.   I had Stl, he went SF - Harry Spilman hits a 2 run jack in the bottom of the 9th off Dayley to sent it to extra innings.  After my donut in the top, Candyman gets a double off a BOP.  Next batter is Will Clark and he gets the deep center shot off the wall.  Final score 17-16 Potsie, 10 innings...

We played ok but not great in our comeback.  We both made some dubious fielding plays, and I gave up 3 pitcher hits.  Clark, Des Plaines and Pendelton had pretty much all my RBIs...

Good to be back!

RBI Online is definitely going to be a boon for the RBI Community.  I need to get some simple steps done, which will be writing  a FAQ question about how to set it up and then making a new forum board for people who want to play.  I think I can get this part set up in a week or two...

perfect...I'm not a very "bright" person so I'll need a simple step plan in order to participate online.  Nice gantry

Quick questions, will there be a special place on the site to setup some games against fellow online RBI goers?
Also, will the games be joystick compatible?

Yes and Yes...

We will probably use FCE Ultra as the emualtor, which support pretty much all joysticks via DirectX.  And I'll have a new board strictly for setting up games - you can post in tehre with days/times and someone can use the forum IM or email to organize with you.  Hope to have it done in a week...

this is huge...  now we will know who is the man...  will there be a lag factor?  i am not computer knowledgable but i do see some disruptions... will we need high speed internet?  DSL, cable?
