What's up kids?

New to the forum and all, I guess I can be representing DC if no one else has claimed it...I'd be more than willing to participate in the June Tourney, and I'm sure I can get at least one more to split gas and stuff...

Not sure if you've discussed hotels (wicked long thread, kinda just skimmed it) but I can get everyone 39 buck rooms at any of the choice hotels (25 for myself, Comfort, Sleep Inn, Quality, Mainstay, Econo, even Rodeway), and would be more than willing on hooking people up (one of the very few perks of being an assistant GM at a hotel)

So, if anyone else from the east is going, we live right off of I-70 and could easily carpool, as you kinda got to come up this way at one point or another...

How many people have confirmed so far?

All tourney details are at: http://ohio.rbicentral.com

DC isn't being represented yet...you should join!

Send me an email and I can answer any questions you have...I also added your AIM to my buddy list.  Add JoeyCordiano to yours and we can talk real time about this.

EDIT: Changed URL.  Thanks Beef--good catch!

It amazes me that I-70 makes it all the way to DC.  That's gotta be the longest, most boring stretch of road in the world.

Flood

I particularly enjoy the stretch that goes through Kansas...now that's good drivin'.

I thought the Rocky Mountains would be a little bit more Rocky.
What do you got there, the 4 volt? I did you a favor.

BeeJay

Definitely, that John Denver's full of shit.

Gantry

The entire dee-nee crew (potsie, myself, sperling and lips) drive straight through to Vegas right after college, 24 hours.  Worst drive ever...   The worst stretch of that drive was the endless trip through Nebraska, that state never fucking ends...

JoeDirt

Speaking of I-70...the tourney is taking place about 10 mins from it...

Baines

I've gotta nominate I40 for most boring stretch in the world.  Drove it from Phoenix to Charlotte last year.

Baines may have hit a homer with Baines, yelled Baines and immediately changed into a Baines jersey.

You know who's the best? Baines...

I'm not quite sure what the criteria is...But there's a spur off of 85 going south of Atlanta, I-85, that has got to be the most mindnumbingly fucking gut wrenchingly boring experience for anyone who drives it...

But again, that might just be because of the prospect of almost being in Alabama...When I used to live out in the midwest, I remember some stretches of 94 were pretty grueling...(This post is mainly to check to see if my sig quote, and profile pic work, and the fact that fucking 185 is the worst stretch of road I've ever encountered...)

I think you're going to fit in fine here, Attezzobal

94 throughout North Dakota is pretty empty, although I'd guess it gets worse when you hit Montana.  I-90 in western South Dakota is pretty desolate, too - vast prairie littered with Wall Drug signs.  If you forget to fill up your tank with gas in Chamberlain, you'd better be getting pretty good mileage.

Tournamant question inspired by emilio...is music allowed during the game are will we be listening to nothing but the RBI theme?  I vote for the game and nothing else but can we have WWF like intros before our games?

I call "Lee" by Tenacious D, but only if we can get the lyrics changed to "Dee-Nee!"

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

You realize that Dee-Nee doesn't really rhyme with Lee, even though I often mispronounce it to do so in my head.
