Game Summary:

It looked on paper like it was going to be a messy game, and that's just what happened when The Poopydicks and Da ShitPaws met up Monday at Tengen Stadium. Both teams were hoping to avoid the bottom of the Fantasy RBI League standings, and desperately needed a victory to avoid being plunged into a deep hole. In the end, it was Da ShitPaws who clearly were Number 2, as they were battered and bruised in a 20-10, eight-inning defeat.

Ruppert Jones continued his solid play all season, while Chili Davis added to his recent hot streak to lead The Poopydicks (2-3) to the promised land. Each drove in four runs, and Jones joined teammates Matt Nokes and Chet Lemon with two homers each. Meanwhile, Davis added a home run and two triples. Bill Buckner paced the team's 28-hit assault with a 6 for 6 day, capped by three doubled.

Ellis Burks had a big day for Da ShitPaws (1-4). He was 4 for 4, with two home runs and three RBI. However, Da ShitPaws were done in by the atrocious hitting of the bottom of their order. The team's six through eight hitters of Bob Boone, Howard Johnson and Tim Teufel went a combined 0 for 12.
