home run switch

I'm not sure if I've discussed this before, but I believe there is some sort of "homerun switch" in RBI Baseball. Doesn't it seem odd that HR's come in bunches. You can go a few innings with no HR's then, some shitty hitter barely knocks one out, then let the homeruns fly. The switch is on, everyone hits one out.

It does seem that way, though I have found nothing in the game itself to prove the momentum factor.  That certainly doesn't mean it isn't there, but the batter's power numbers do not change outside of the pinch-hitter's first at bat...

If there is a computer assistance or momentum switch, it is done at a place outside of the actual player data...

maybe people/the computer give up and keep pitching down the middle without speed or sink, which leads to more homeruns

I also haven't seen any evidence of computer assistance. I'd chalk it up to the rapid loss of stamina by pitchers once they've used up their initial stamina. Once they start to lose it, they really~ lose it.
