Despite all the potency Detroit encompasses, I would say that their biggest weakness is their overall poor fielding.  Has anyone else experienced this?

jcbball86

yes, i also noticed they got more errors than other teams.
besides alexander, the rest of the pitchers arent to dominating.  king and hernandez suck

ericdavisfan

I agree that the Detroit bullpen stinks.  I usually start them and save Morris and Alexander for the later innings.  I avoid putting Hernandez if I can, but sometimes I can't get any mileage out of King.   By starting relievers, it avoids the inevitable breakdown in the final inning or two.

vgp100

I always thought that detroit makes more errors than other teams.
You're going down, chainsaw.

I've found that my bop's are at their worst when I am playing with California against the computer.  Whenever I'm almost out of an inning with computer guys on base, it makes me bop.  Then, the flood gates open, which REALLY ticks me off against the incompetent computer player!

GDavis

It seems to me that the mets or the giants make the most errors, but its probably completely random.

Gantry

I have a feeling this is similar to the Best Hitting Pitcher debate - they are all really the same.  I never noticed more BOPs from any particular team though admittedly I haven't looked that hard...

RockRaines4life

It seems to me that errors should happen totally randomly... but I've always thought I made the most with Detroit.  It's weird that others have experienced the same thing.
What a horrible night to have a curse.

ericdavisfan

I suppose that Gantry is right on this, because when I stopped to think about it, I play with California the majority of the time.  Hence, I'd get more bop's with them whether the time is crucial or not.  Bop's are probably more random than we believe, but they do seem to come in spurts for me.

Gwynn3k

detroit doesnt bring their gloves with them onto the field but look like gold glovers compared to the halos.   it would take some research but i am willing to bet the angels fielding percentage is the worst in the game.
Strange things are afoot at the Circle K

GPines

No doubt about it Gwynn, California is brutal on defense!

I haven't seen anything yet to support any team fielding better/worse than any other, but it's definitely a possibility. Hell, that could be the meaning of one of the "unknown" fields in pitcher data. Say, the higher the number is, the more likely a fielder is to make an error from a ball hit from this pitcher. Doesn't make a lot of sense, but I'm open to anything on those unknown fields. ???

California is by far the worst (and I normally end up playing with them the least).  I think California, Minnesota, and New York are the top three worst fielding teams.  After that it's fairly close between the remainder of the teams.
