Nails

I was bored at work, and found a few message boards and articles with short lists of RBI'ers and what they are doing now.  I started to get lazy and excluded some links.  Some of it sounds familiar (like Chet Lemon), so it may have already been posted here before, and just simply didn't make it to the dee-nee WATN page.  Without further ado...

Jim Rice - Red Sox special instructor, analyst for NESN

Marty Barrett - Runs a non-profit organization called Baseball Big and Little

Calvin Schiraldi - Teacher, Baseball coach in Austin, TX high school

Dwight Evans - Red Sox special assignment instructor

Bob Stanley - Norwich Navigators (AA Giants) coaching staff

Juan Berenguer - Car salesman for Lakeville Ford in Minneapolis area

Jack Morris - Color commentary on some Twins telecasts

Willie Hernandez - Owns and operates a farm in Puerto Rico

Ruppert Jones - Sells employee benefits to government contractors

Chet Lemon - Lake County, Fla. President of the Florida AAU. His team, Chet Lemon's Juice, recently won its fifth straight Florida AAU state championship.

Honorable mention (not really WATN worthy material, the interview is interesting):
Mike Scott - Retired, messes around with the stock market

I've been swimming in raw sewage ... I love it

Sounds like Chester's gunning to be the next Tom Emanski, but he's clearly got a lot of work to do.

Is that the guy who did those baseball instruction videos featuring Fred McGriff and that stupid poofy hat?

I posted Rupperto's work e-mail and phone number a while ago. I sent him a message asking about RBI Baseball, but he didn't reply.

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

Another update:  Rafael Santana was named minor league infield instructor for the Chicago White Sox.

Have you ever been face to face in a room with a marlin?

No matter where you go, it's eyes follow your every move.

Gantry

Rice, Stanley, Morris, Santana and HoJo have been added...

The info for Schiraldi and Evans are 5 and 3 years old, respectively.  So I'm not going to put those up unless verified...

Nails

I have no verification myself.   Just found the links on a BoSox message board.  If it's that old, forget it.

Bumpst.

What qualfies as WATN-worthy, anyways? Doesn't the fact that someone is an RBIer mean that their current whereabouts and employment status are WATN-worthy?

I guess the question is do we need to know what all 160(159 alive) RBIers are currently doing, even if the are a greeter at WalMart.  I'd say sure, if you can find out what an RBIer is currently doing, then that is Where They are Now.
