Cal 16 Minn 9
Cal fell behind 6-3 after 3, but dominated from there on, holding Minn's potent offense to 3 runs the rest of the way to move into a 2nd place tie with Minn.

Bos 9 Det 8
Great outings by both starters had Bos up 2-1 after 4, but then the runs started coming across, Det led 9-6 after 7, got 2 in the 9th but Stanley got Madlock and Trammell in order with the tying run on base, to push Detroit down into a 3 way tie for 1st.

NY 16 AL 15 (10 inn)
A Grand Slam by Baines in the top of the 7th cut the lead to 11-10 and kept the Mets from running away with this one.  Then a PH 2 run HR by McGwire in the 9th tied the game at 14.  Then Randolph drove home Seitzer to give Al a 15-14 lead.  In the bottom of the 9th HoJo led off with a PH HR of his own to tie it at 15.  Keith Hernandez led of the bottom of the 10th with a walk off for the win making a 4 way tie for 1st.

SF 10 Hou 0 (5 inn)
Well the law of averages and Mike Krukow finally caught up with Houston's offense, as they could only muster 3 hits over 5 innings

Stl 8 NL 2

It's a strange week of games when Tony Gwynn and Larry Herndon hit homers in the same inning and Viola pitches a shortened no-hitter.

NY 13 Cal 10
Back to Back homers in the top of the 9th by Carter and Straw off Donnie Moore gave the Mets the insurance runs they needed as they held off Cal.  To temporarily take sole possesion of 1st place.

Minn 14 Bos 0  (1 inn)
Wow, the 1st 14 batters for Minn reached base against Clemens, including a HR and a 3B by Dan Gladden, then Bos went down 1-2-3 in the bottom half for the seasons quickest game.  Minn moves back into a tie for first.

Det 14 NL 12
Tony Gwynn gave NL the lead with a solo shot in the 9th, then Larry Herndon tied it in the bottom half with a solo of his own and Trammell won it with a walk off HR.

AL 16 Hou 11
Molitor hit a 2 run homer in the top of the 9th to break an 11-11 tie Mattingly added a 2-run shot after that and Hou got nothing.

Stl 15 SF 11
Down 6-1 in the 6th St. Louis put 10 on the board thanks in large part to a number of poor throwing decisions by Reuschel.

It has been determined that the season will be 36 games for each team (4 against each opponent) and the playoffs will be 2 vs 3 in best of 3.  Winner plays 1 in best of 5.

I will then do a similar season with the Arcade ROM.

Det 10 Minn 0 (2 inn)
What was billed as the game of the week became a laughers Minnesota got to taste what they dished out last week.

AL 14 Stl 12 (10 inn)

There were a few low line drives, but nothing that would have cleared an IF's reach.  I know you are joking but it should be reiterated that the trajectory of a hit is random, so they must have been hitting low numbers on the RNG all inning (except for the 2 pop outs)
