Very impressive nightwulf....  I'll have to remember to try it out on my sister's piano next time I'm there...

nightwulf

Nah, it's the curse of perfect pitch and years of piano lessons since I was 5 ...

If you want, I am a music major, and I already have it all out on staff paper. IM me aty DrumsforLife717. Finally a topic dealing with two grat subjects... RBI and Music.
Fernando Valenzuela can play every position, including the umpire, and does every night of the week, and nothing can stop him.

BDawk

That guest, Drew, is a dick

PHole717

Actually the original song is in the key of A major, not G major

Transpose it a whole step up and you have it. A A A C# etc...

i prefer to slap a capo on the 2nd fret and go with the G.

Not by my ear, but I wouldn't be surprised if sound emulation is off in (insert emulator here) that I use. Or not being near a piano in ~7 years has made me suck.

That crazy n'wulf--always asking people to insert things...

The dee nee tard mixed in with gantry looks a little bit like TBT

I agree totally that G is easier. Due to the fact that It has only one sharp in the Key signature, opposed to A which has 3. Plus the Dominant of the key of A is E which E G# B is hard enough to play because is sucks, opposed to the dominant in G is D which D F# A (one of my favorite chords) But I'll go and match the pitch again, but im pretty sure its in A. Can you tell I'm a music Major?

That's a bunch of crazy talk. . . . can you tell I'm a guitar player?? :D

G formation and it's related chords are much easier fingerings (ha hahhahaha) than A and it's fingerings (funny word again).

........... Thats what I just said.... lol

Actually, I'm hardwired into keyboarding. The concept of playing the guitar just doesn't work for me, because I'm anal like that.

Which key is easier isn't really an issue; maybe my pitch is borken. :( Then again, maybe I won't start going into convulsions when someone sings off-key now ...

I apologize. The RBI theme is in G Major. Although any song can be transposed into any key and it would sound right, the RBI theme is in G Major

I don't agree there.  Many times I'll transpose a song from a key I cannot sing in to a key I can sing in. . . . . .the result are not always good.   Seems like alot of Springsteen's stuff is written in F or C -- keys I'm not good at singing in.  I can occasionally transpose them into workable keys, but often times I'm screwed.

However, I seem to have more luck at transposing when I transpose in full steps.  .. G to A. . . Ab to Bb, etc.    It's usually not too good to go more than one step in either direction.

Seems like when a song is written in a sharp or flat key, that song usually sounds like ass when transposed in half steps into "whole" keys.

No...... Its proven that any song can be played in any key. I had a piano final yesterday and I had to be able to play this song in any key. But yeah, Ive taken Music Theory already and its musically proven.

I can play any song in any key on the guitar, but sometimes it just doesn't sound right.

It's probably a combinaiton of the singing and playing. . . . and the guitar. . . . . piano's confuse me.

I usually piss off the church piano player because I don't read music.

I also don't do half step key changes within the same song. . . this pisses her off as well :D
