Joe, it looks like it's you and me this week.

You can officially eliminate me from play off contention.

Should I just go on and concede three games to you?

When would you like to get this shin dig started?

Edit - Just cleaning up the thread topic.

JoeDirt

whenever, pal...you're still at work, right?

If you want to call it "work", yes.

I'll make sure AIM is turned on when I get home.  Ryne usually hits the hay around 7 or 7:30 so maybe we can squeeze a game or 3 in while the wife watches whatever show FOX has to offer tonight.

JoeDirt

NO WAY.  I'm with your wife--I'll be busy watching LOST and Survivor BITCH!

While the two of you are watching TeeVee, I'll just go play MVP. . . . or beat off. . . . or both  :-\

JoeDirt

I sure hope Bonny checks the Online board....since he'll be the one you play with (MVP, that is)... :-\

Gantry - i'm around all night if you want to play our series.  If not, i'll be around Sunday during the day...possibly Saturday night.
I've been swimming in raw sewage ... I love it

RedBarron

Last night I dreamt I beat Joe Dirt all three games.  Each game was 4-2.

Joe was not happy and deleted his account.

When I woke up this morning I had a sense of accomplishment --- something I've not had in quite some time.

Then I realized it was only a dream.

Then I went and took a shit.

That is a depressing post, Ryno

At least it had a happy ending:

#12
Ryno and I finally got week 6 in.  There was a lot of rust and a lot of lag, but we fought through it.

It was a weird series:
Ryno hit a total of two HRs the entire series.
Nolan Ryan pitched 13 innings of 1 run ball.
I scored 21 total runs--only 7 or so were off of HRs

Game one: I won 6-1.

Ryno homered with Dawson.
I homered with Mitchell, Trammell, and Guerrero.

Game two: I won 5-1.

Ryno homered with Heath.  Ryno busted out 4 hits.
I homered with Boggs.

Game three: I won 10-0 in 7 innings.
I homered with Hrbek and Guerrero.

In the battle for playoff positioning, The Thundercats met up with Noah G for a key Week 6 series.  Noah G was coming off of a (2-1) series win over Stock, while The Thundercats were victorious over JoeDirt, 2-1.  The winner of this matchup would put themselves in great position for the #2/3 seed, behind JoeDirt.

With the bats of The Thundercats not disappointing, Game 1 started out with some fireworks and ended very quickly.

Sheridan put up a 3-run homer in his both of his at-bats and The Thundercats won 11-0 in two innings, to take a (1-0) lead in the series.

The Homers...

Noah G:
Dah-Nah...

The Thundercats:
Jones 1
Rice 1
Sheridan 2
Schofield 1

After the dust cleared from the carnage, Noah G looked to even the series.

The pesky Vince Coleman leadoff with a hit, leading to ill-timed throws from The Thundercats.  Noah G backed up the Coleman hit with four runs in the first inning.

The Thundercats were forced to play the catch-up game.  And it seemed like The Thundercats were always down one run.  4-3 after 1, 5-4 after 2, 7-6 after 3, 7-6 after 4...  Until later in the game, Noah G opened up the lead to a couple runs with support from Gaetti and Downing, each who had 2-homers.

The Thundercats wouldn't back down, though, and eventually tied the game with support from Leonard who hit 3-solo shots and Reggie who had a couple of his own.

Going into the ninth inning, the game was tied.  Noah struck first with a solo shot and took a 1-run lead going into the bottom of the ninth.

Pendleton lead off the inning with a single.  The Thundercats had a tough choice: leave Gedman in and risk the potential double play or sub him for Terry Puhl Day.  As the Thundercats skipper thought and thought, he decided to leave in Gedman.  Bringing Puhl in would have forced a pitcher sub for Lombardozzi.  With those types of ramifications, The Thundercats elected to keep Gedman in.  And Go-Go Gedman showed the crowd at Tengen Field that he still is a force to be reckoned with.  Gedman hit a walk-off homer to end the game 12-11, in nine innings.  Mass hysteria ensued.

The Thundercats took a (2-0) lead in the series.

The Homers...

Noah G:
Gaetti 2
Joyner 1
Bell 1
Downing 2
Gwynn 1

The Thundercats:
Leonard 3
Jackson 2
Sheridan 1
Gedman 2

With the madness in full swing, The Thundercats attempted to ride the shromentum.

Game 3 started off much like Game 1.  This time...Leonard, Jones, Rice, and Jackson went back-to-back-to-back-to-back to start off the game.

Leonard continued his streak of solo homers totaling another 3 (six in the last two games).  RBI also hit three solo shots.  As was the theme of the Game 3...

The Thundercats won 11-1, in 7 innings.  All twelve runs scored in the game were off of solo-shots.  The Thundercats' box score was all Yoleven.  11 hits, 11 homers, 11 runs.

The Thundercats swept the series (3-0).

The Homers...

Noah G:
Gaetti 1

The Thundercats:
Leonard 3
Jones 2
Rice 3
Jackson 2
Schofield 1
