I know most people rarely/never use all-stars around here, but has anyone actually left him in the game and tried to hit a bomb with him? I don't think I've ever seen it happen, but he's probably received less than 5 ABs in his career (from games i've seen).

I had a 2HR game with Pedrique about an hour before my wedding.  I took it as a sign that the RBI gods were smiling upon my marriage.  There's a thread on it somewhere but I would imagine it's buried pretty far by now.

Yes, anybody can hit bombs on the game on a fairly regular basis.  I have even hit a couple of bombs with Santana (who is statistically coded as the worst hitter on the game).
Pedrique actually has better power numbers than Backman, and is tied with Gwynn.

I am currently working on playing a 9 game season (with 25-Run rule) against the computer with every player in the game.  This is 120 games, so it will take me a while.
I will post all the stats when I am done.
