So I get bumped back down to Jim Rice again

Gantry

Yup, it's always easier the second time though...

malnuboy

this is kind of like the "B" scale.
What do you got there, the 4 volt? I did you a favor.

fathedX

Here I come ET, here I come...

BDawk

I think Gantry keeps moving Reggie Jackson level up so he's the only one there.

They're in on it together.
They don't want me to be part of their cool club. Well screw them, I'm starting my own levels.

From now on, I'm on Roy Smalley level

TempoGL

if you are going to add a guy for the NL, why not also the AL?   Might I recommend Jose Canseco?  He can go between Chili and hjose rice

I'd like a more extensive level system. Maybe something that incorporates all of the players in the game. The reggie jackson level should be super high, so everyone has something to strive for.

Gantry

The key is not to be debatable.  I'd love to add another 5 players an really beef up the levels, making potatoes 10,000 posts or something.  It's hard to have this many guys where most will agree that the guy above is better than the guy below..

For Strassy's example - you say put Canseco before Rice.  I think Canseco is definitely better than Rice, so it's debatable which level is better.  Either that or I'm over thinking things...

Wilfong

I think you should keep adding names to the list. Some people might debate it, but it's really not that big of a deal and it's your site, so I think you have the final say. It would be really cool to have a ton of players on there (Oquendo, Orosoco, Berenguer and Willfong come to mind for me) and to have Reggie be a huge accomplishment. Then again, 5,000 posts is a lot.

Gerlost

Kevin McReynolds level at 20,000 posts.

TempoGL

wumpst level at 1,000,000 posts.

I like the sound of that.

Big Hath

Let's see, Gantry has about 2,000 posts per year so it would only take about 500 more years to reach 1,000,000.

cool---it's something to look forward to.

I think maybe adding a few pitchers is an easy answer.  Perhaps "Calvin Schraldi level" after Santana, an average pitcher in the middle and Bert Blyleven level near the top....

I like that idea!  Maybe Saberhagen or Sutcliff for an "average" pitcher.

I said it once and I'll say it again - stock is smart
