No thank you, but it appears that you have found people to play online which is good.  I think that you'll find more people willing to play if you altered your posting technique and/or showed a little more respect to the other members of the forums...

I'm looking for a game so that I can try out online RBI (never played online but would like to try)

Seeing as the servers are down, will I have to wait until they go back up or is there another place to try playing at the moment?

Actual on-topic reply: Someone mentioned another emulator, JNES, over the weekend - it uses a program called Kaillera for its online component (Kaillera is more commonly used with MAME, an arcade emulator).  I wanted to try it out over the weekend while the dee-nee servers were down, but Kaillera gets its list of servers from a master server, and the master server was apparently down yesterday when I tried it.

I just tried it again, and I was able to contact the server this time.  I connected to a server with a ping around 60 and started a game against the computer, and lag was moderate - you have to swing basically as the ball is pitched to hit a fastball, but it'd be alright for straight-pitch.  One other issue - it wouldn't let me go to full-screen when playing online.  The video menu has settings for window size, though, so this may not be a huge issue.

I work today and am busy this evening, but if someone will be available tomorrow shortly after 5:00 PM CDT, I'd like to give it a try with a human opponent and compare the results to FCEUltra.

I hate to bump my own post, but MR RBI posted in all of his threads and drove this one to the middle of page two, and I'd like to make sure people see it.

I'm thinking of working from home for the latter half of this afternoon, so I'll probably be available for a trial of JNES as early as 3:00 CDT.  I'll be on MSN and AIM, and I'll maybe stop by Dee-Nee chat, too (although since I'll also be working on another computer, it may not be too closely monitored).
