I'll be driving out Friday am, probably around 9ish chicago time.  I think it's an 8 hour tour, hopefully the skyway is all done with construction by then.  Since I'm always late, 7pm CBus time is probably close...

I don't think it should take you more than 6 hrs.

Really?  Cleveland was 6 hours, just figured CBus was further, time to hit mapquest...

Looks like 400 miles, so probably 6.5-7.5 depending on the skyway...

With traffic you are probably right.  When I lived in Cleveland, I used to be able to hit the Sears Tower in exactly 5 hours with no traffic problems.  Probably 7.5 hours to Columbus is a good estimate.

I said it once and I'll say it again - stock is smart

This doesn't change the fact that no one else has replied.  G-Man, it looks like me, you and the Dub are going out HARD Friday night.

My bad, for some reason I had it in my mind that it wasn't much further from Clevland to Columbus.

Hopefully Gantry and I can find a basement to drink in...

If people are arriving early enough on Friday, I'll leave super early and start drinking before 5...

JoeD - We also have to get some ping pong in, if possible.  I haven't played in years...   And by "ping pong" I mean Lemon Party...

JoeDirt

There's no way it'll take you close to 8 hrs....Columbus is further west than Cleveland (also more south)...

Also, I've made the Chi/Cols trip before and it took about 6 hours...I suppose it depends on what side of town you're on and how fast you drive, but I can't imagine it'll be an 8+ hr drive...

Malnu will be in the parking like to cheer on your arrival...

And by "in years" you mean "in minutes?"

Not sure yet when I'm coming, I can come pretty much anytime so it just depends on when everyone else is getting in.

Baines may have hit a homer with Baines, yelled Baines and immediately changed into a Baines jersey.

You know who's the best? Baines...

Well 391 miles from Wheeling (20 minutes north of Chitown) plus a stop for gas and the traffic on the Chicago Skyway.   So 7 hours is probably the sweet spot...

GDavis

Flight arrives in C-Bus at 8:50 pm Friday.

Gantry

Are we going to hold up massive "Dee-Nee" signs at the airport when everone arrives?  I'm game as long as they have airport bars...

Mike D.

I'll be the guy in assless chaps, with an obscene handlebar mustache and a sign that reads "Dee-Nee/NAMBLA Convention"

McLane and I get into the airport at 4:55 p.m. on Friday. We'll both have been drinking at the Phoenix airport bar and the plane ride over, so we should be in fine form by the time we land in CBus...

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

Mike D.

That's what I like to hear.  Dub and I should be finished our round of golf, chilling at a bar somewhere by that time.
