I say the tourney style is fine, it didn't take anything away from this weekend plus I would actually like the hard core tourney guys to show up as well.

The key is as many TV's and Nintendos going as possible, this way we can knock off the rounds quickly and then get to the madness. More people need to be playing at the same time.

Yet another pro for Chicago.  It seems that enough people live close enought to Chicago (driving distance) that 2-3 more TVs/NES's could be brought in as well.
Maybe, we could start a poll to see who 1. would or 2. would not be able to do the chicago rout.

if theres 4 tv's then thats probably ok.......with a  16 man tourney/double elimination, you could eliminate 4 within about 3 hours tops, then a few more the following hour.  things would go pretty quick, and maybe even eliminate any of that best of 5 stuff, just best of 3.

I'm open for anything really.  Of course I plan on binge drinking beginning around 10am everyday but don't want the non/light drinkers to feel alienated.  I enjoyed hanging out with all those guys too and I definitely like the idea of DD's better than $20 cab rides each way.

I forgot. A friend of mine makes this great lithuanian liquor called Krupnykas. If you like cinnamon, you'll love this. its 120 proof approximately. Next year. You will all drink it and all love it and all puke.

Would somewhere in Southern Calfornia be a possibility for a Winter meeting/tourney? Teddyballgame and I have been kicking the idea around, and if there's interest in it we can pursue it further.

Lots of things to do (obivously) around here, and it's sunny 365 days a year (lie, but pretty close).
