And a big thanks to BeeJay for designing a sweet label for the cart...

do we have to wait to see the label?

Malnu is so bitter now that he is immobilized because of his foot injury.

I'm for both arcade and 2005, but why would somebody buy the original? I assume most of us already have it. Just because I think I am way off track here, were talking about getting these game on a regular nitendo cartridge....right?

And show us the damn design JoeDirt
What do you got there, the 4 volt? I did you a favor.

JoeDirt

I tried to post it, but the file is too big...

Can somebody please verify that all of the ratings are correct on this ROM? Also, please verify that the names, HRs, Ave, ERA are correct and that each batter is set up to bat from the appropriate side...and that each P is set up to throw appropriately (R/L and side/no side).

At least, can you all pick one team and verify? This is the ROM that we will be using for the RBI Arcade Cart...I want to make it perfect.

And a big thanks to BeeJay for designing a sweet label for the cart...

This is the last step before I get them made, so please help out! Thanks.

I was just thinking, did you make a ROM with select same team and player 2 pause options?

bring it in to photoshop and go to "save for web" it will reduce the file size, just make sure you change the name and don't save over the original.

I'll do it tomorrow, another question would be the ERROR rates, what's there is what is preset for the NES teams, we could edit for the Arcade whatever we want.

I would think maybe STL and CIN should have low error rates (off the top of my head) Others?  Dryden could probably be of good help for this.

The error rates for the "default arcade data" were changed to all zeros as soon as that option was made available in the editor. This was done to more closely emulate the arcade game's behavior (no bops).

Sorry, I've been bogged down in kickball stuff this week. Being the new board president comes at a price.

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

Gantry

You are officially RBI board president now so keep working hard.  You first task is to get my mix CD out...

The label looks great, nice work...

Oh that's right, forgot about that, is the consensus to leave them at 0, then?  I've got no problem with that.

I'm definitely interested in purchasing a 2005 RBI ROM.  Anything in the works?

JoeDirt

Stevo--read the whole thread.  We're planning on making a 2005 Cart after the 2005 season.

You are welcome to use the ROM and order one for yourself, but it appears Dee-Nee will not be ordering these as a group right now.

EDIT:  Looks like you already realized this.  Another option is to make your own 2005 ROM, it isn't that difficult and then you can use the players/teams you want, will probably take you 1-4 hours depending on how exact you want it.

I'm not well versed in creating ROMS.  Sounds interesting, what exactly does it entail?

ultimate7

Got to Nightwulf's site:

http://nightwulf.rbicentral.com/rbi-editor

set up an account and go at it, the easiest thing to start is to pull up some of the other teams and look at their stats/etc and just play with it.  If you can't figure something out just post here and someone will help you out, but for the most part it's user friendly.
