OK, here's where people can throw their names in to give "presentations" to the Dee-Nee general assembly on why their city should host 2 Dee-Nee Fest 2006. I will take on the Southern California bid, with assistance from Teddy. Anyone else who wants to make a case, sign up here as well.

Once everyone has signed up to make their case, we'll set a deadline to get your "presentation" together (like, perhaps next Monday). Then on that date the organizing committees can make their cases, and the Dee-Nee general assembly will have a few days to vote.

Who is representing what groups:

fightonusc (and teddyballgame) - Southern California
T Roogs - Chicago
Bonny - Durant

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

This has been changed recently to a statement about it being changed.

I second this idea and I would like to submit that we not have it anywhere near Tulsa.

and your arse is mine in a game or 3 of super mario cart on the snes......go ahead pretty boy...... talk the talk all you want, but thats the only game i owned in snes for about 4 years(92-96)...played it religiously!  every time id pick it up after a year off hiatus, id still smoke at that game.  i just dug it out yesterday and will begin preparation for dee-nee fest, and whoopin yer butt, at either the time trials race or the maze combat.

All I know is that there'd better be some fucking MK players at the next get-together. Sure, people generously offered to button-mash against me in Columbus, but it's just not the same.

Which MK are we talking about?  I'm pretty decent with 1 & 2, but am pretty much lost after that...
dee-nee i love you because

Same here.  I always used Toad or Koopa, though, who had the slowest top speed.  I'd always still smoke everyone.  My time trials were fucking sick with those guys, and I am pretty sure that I have reached about the fastest possible times that Toad and Koopa can possibly get on each course.

2 is my favorite by far, but all the home versions kinda suck. If I could find an MK2 coin-op somewhere with good joysticks, I might never leave.

For console play, I generally go with MK:Trilogy for the N64. The graphics and sound are garbage, but there's no load time, and I simply cannot use the PSX controller. You'd have to see me play to understand.

There is only one Super Mario Kart.  I firmly believe this.

chicago.  nacho, you can have the couch, but not malnuboy.  he comes in the bed with me

I suck with the arcade joysticks.  I lived in a town without an arcade, so all my MK experience is on home systems.
