How much is a fucking capacitor kit?  I'll go pick this bitch up if it ain't crazy expensive.

From a rather quick google search, a capacitor kit runs anywhere from $9 to $30.  The only other issue would be finding someone to put it in for you.

But at $26, I'm thinking a trip out to Cali could be well worth it.

Capacitors come in all different types, sizes and the like.  Soldering a capacitor into any sort of circuit board isn't the easiest thing in the world, I sure as hell wouldn't do it.  If you had a buddy who was handy with electronics, then maybe.  Guess it doesn't matter since the acution ended...

Another worthless question - if they took the time/money to have a tech look at it and the cap kits are so cheap, why didn't said technician fix it himself?
