I believe it.  I have seen an Ozzie Smith homer, so I believe that a Santana homer is possible.  That being said, you should be embarrassed.

Yeah but Santana is quite rare because of these two facts:

1)  His power is 27 points LOWER than The Wizard
2)  Anyone with half a brain takes him out

This is quite true.  I don't know if I have actually batted with Santana since I was in middle school.  I am pretty sure that I had slightly less than half a brain back then and most of what brains I did have was not thinking RBI strategy.  I only see him bat now when I play the computer.  I am fairly confident that I have never given up a Santana homer to the computer

Yeah, the only reason to keep santana in is as a joke or if you are playing someone whose skill level is way below yours.  Wally Backman is no picnic either, in fact I hate the Mets in RBI.  There, I said it...

I must be the only person in the world who never substitutes anyone.  I only use the subs as pinch hitters late in the game (mostly for the pitcher's spot).  What a loser I am.  :-\

For a long time, this was the way my RBI buddy and I played - not because we made a rule or anything, but because we didn't realize the treasures that awaited us on the benches.  We still never advanced to the levels of sub-strategy that are now commonplace, but guys like Armas, Murphy, and McGwire no longer languished on the pine all game.  Had we not eventually moved on to RBI 2 and 3 (where you had more information when putting lineups together), I'm sure we'd have figured more of them out eventually.

Nothing was more defeating to the ego than to bring in a guy off of the bench and have him hit a homer.  Many a controller was thrown over what, at the time, was deemed by me or my brother to be "computer cheating."  Little did we know that there was an actual power boost for pinch hitters.
