Reardon clearly hasn't rebounded from his recent arrest.

Julio Franco is clearly a manchild, my early vote for player of the year...  I don't need your fancy "stats" to tell me otherwise...

Indeed.  He was robbed of his chance of getting the cycle.  Double, triple and homer in the first three innings.

there are also folks complaining about the lack of Bobby Grich, Dwight Evans, and Willie Randolph.

Gantry

Wow, Dewey Evans is having quite the run also, looks like Franco will have comp for MVP.  Kinda like the ARod/Papi debates in the AL, how much does clutch hitting factor in?

Recap:

Mark McGwire and Tim Raines each hit three home runs, and Kirby Puckett added two, as The Creamy Pirates ran their winning streak to five games with a 24-15 over The Unholy Legions of Doom in an interdivisional Fantasy RBI League game played Friday morning at Tengen Stadium.

The Unholy Legions of Doom (2-4) had rallied from an early 10-2 deficit to take a 15-11 lead in the fourth inning. But The Creamy Pirates (5-1) bullpen had its best game of the season, with Rick Reuschel and Tom Henke combining for five scoreless innings of relief work.

McGwire lead The Creamy Pirates with six RBI, while Puckett added five runs. On his birthday, Kevin Mitchell went 3 for 6, with a solo home run, a double, and four runs scored.
