NOTE: The ROM has been updated - I realized that The OC and The Frank Tanana All-Stars have the same uniforms, which makes the game really confusing to watch. So, for this week, The OC (as the visiting team) will be wearing the alternate blue and white uniforms.

Recap:

Julio Franco was 3 for 3 with a homer and five RBI to lift The Frank Tanana All-Stars to an impressive 12-2, three-inning rout of The OC in an Fantasy League interdivision game played Monday evening at Tengen Stadium. The victory marks the first win by a Doverbi Division team in Interdivision play this season.

Jim Rice added a home run and triple, as well as driving in three for the Doverbi Division-leading Frank Tanana All-Stars (5-1), who have won four consecutive games. Frank Tanana All-Stars owner Shooty Babbit said that his team had a point to prove.

"All we heard all week is that the Doverbi Division was a fraud division, and how we were a bunch of frauds," he said. "Our players knew that we could go on the field and get it done. Hopefully, beating the defending champs proves those so-called experts wrong."

The OC (4-2) had jumped out to an early 2-0 behind a massive 613-ft HR by Andre Dawson. The blast sailed well above the scoreboard, and was perhaps the furthest hit ball in Fantasy RBI history.

There was one: the bass player from No Doubt.

Julio Franco is clearly a manchild, my early vote for player of the year...  I don't need your fancy "stats" to tell me otherwise...

Great, this will surely drop the OC into last place in the power rankings. I thought we were-4-2

This game was so bad that it cost you one of your existing victories.

Recap:

Dwight Evans did it again. For the second straight week, Evans hit a walk-off home run to give the Hip Young Popes a dramatic victory, this time a two-out, three-run shot to lift the Popes over The Nimrods 18-16 in a Fantasy RBI interdivision game played Wednesday afternoon at Tengen Field.

Roger McDowell looked to have the game won for The Nimrods (2-4) after getting Doug DeCinces to hit into a double play. But then Tony Armas and Kent Hrbek reached base with a single and double repectively to set up the late-inning drama.

The win moved The Hip Young Popes (2-4) to within a half-game of a playoff spot, with three games still pending. Armas, DeCinces and Jim Lindeman each homered twice for The Hip Young Popes.
